Poll: Ad-free accounts for sirtaptap.com as rewards?

So, I do a LOT of things. Videos, guides, articles, reviews, streams. It's hard to describe let alone craft rewards for all of them. I've wanted to integrate sirtaptap.com a bit more into the rewards, and since ads went back on the site due to rising server costs/load (only for guides, and in minimal number), I can now potentially offer ad-free access to the site.

Cutting Room Floor: Desync, Spaceport Diaries, Switch podcast

As is I suppose the point, today's addition to the blooper reel are strange and various.

Desync: This is a take that just ended up too long due to me failing the final section. I just said screw it and got more practice before re-trying. This is a darn hard game!

Sirtaptap.com is doing record traffic due to Abyssrium!

Just a bit of good news, my site for guides has been doing fantastic traffic lately, and I'm hoping to run more guides. I'm not entirely sure how to work sirtaptap.com into my Patreon rewards yet, but thought the good news should be spread. Without my supporters I wouldn't have started and paid for my server in the first place, so thanks all of you!

Working on guides has become one of my favorite things, though it's a bit difficult to decide which games to make a guide for. The happy responses...

Year End 2016

I know the year's not exactly over, but I started writing a post like this in December last year and...never posted it.

Anyway. 2016 was a trying year in more ways than one.  But for the channel and my website, it's been a good if uncomfortable time.

In a bit of anger and panic, I began a Let's Play series of Yoshi's Island in case I wouldn't be able to/willing to stream anymore. I only got one video in before finding streaming wasn't *totally* impossible. 

It was premature and I no longer have use for this video despite it being done, so into the blooper reel it does.

Speaking of, Mediacom is checking out my internet thursday so hopefully if there's anything that can be done, they'll do it.

On Ads

Not sure I really need to talk about this. Most people don't. But  I thought I'd be transparent and announce this to my patreons and followers.

So, a recent experiment found that  my site (potentially) could pay for it's own server costs (and a bit more) at current levels of traffic (which are fairly high, due to my successful Abyssrium guide, and to a lesser extent Axiom Verge and Megadimension Neptunia V2).

So I've decided to re-enable ads on sirtaptap.com, but only ...

New $10 reward tier: Video credits!

I like all of my final, quality content to be free to reach as many people as possible, so I've had a bit of trouble coming up with rewards. Looking around, this seemed to be a great way to recognize patrons without locking away content!

Yoshi's Island Streams starting in November!

So I passed my Yoshi's Island goal (and need to consider some new short term goals), but October sorta conflicts with my plan. I wanted to do Spooky Sundays, so I'll be doing that for the duration of October.

With that in mind I'll start streaming the special Yoshi's Island streams on Sundays in November, starting Nov 6th! I'll hold a poll (probably on Youtube) to see if 12PM CST or 6 PM CST is more preferred due to regional audiences (unfortunately there's no easy solution here)

Not exactly a failed take, this was a video I was completely satisfied when I made it (there's some lines I'd like to keep tbh) but after this video I decided to take this series into a one planet per video format, and there just wasn't any way to edit this into that style. So I re-recorded, and here it lives on as a blooper!

Find your rewards easier with Tags!

Patreon recently added a feature to let us tag posts, and since all my rewards are currently distributed via Patreon posts, this should make it easier to find older rewards you might have missed out on or whatever.

So here's a list of rewards and links to the tags where all new and most existing rewards should be categorized under! Of course for new reward posts you should just be able to find them in your email.

Well, looks like we've got the $40 a month goal and thus a special Yoshi's Island stream will be happening! I'll announce decently in advance on my youtube channel as well, probably as a Sunday stream either in addition to or instead of (more likely) the co op stream, since weekends get the most traffic and I'd like everyone to be able to tune in if I can (thus I'll hold a poll to see when most people can watch)
