This week we've been working mostly to finalise the 4.9.5 Alpha, which should be out soon!
We are thinking of removing the old legacy SmoothLines, and just enabling the path for better lines all the time. We have tested this against the 'SmoothLines = off' and found the old CPU bound code being disabled led to a game that responded better, and reduced the frame lag on cabinets.

Just chiming in to let everyone know about the changes to the Patreon here as well as a status update on where we're at with 5.3.
We've added rewards for Silver and Gold tier access to the Beta versions as they become available. These builds will be distributed to Patrons in their Discord channel.
Prior builds, such as the alphas through Bronze tier, will be internal testing models to make sure we can hammer out the majority of bugs before we send it out to you guys.

Hey all, we've been hard at work to bring you guys a beta client. That and I've been neglecting doing update posts here for a while...
So without further ado, here's a link to our most recent updates to our progress thus far.
We're looking to have the beta out within the next 6 weeks or so, as we have a lot of code to merge and rebase from all of the work we have done so far, as well as bring in some changes that have made it into SM via GitHub.
