This is actually a good game, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to talk about Forbidden Cubes. If you're familiar with this, it's probably because of a demo disk that came with your PlayStation, or from buying the PlayStation Classic mini-console. Its austere, frankly creepy presentation wraps up a satisfying puzzle game that gives us plenty of geometry-based digression material.

Everything To Guppy is a bite-sized, four-times weekly comedy/gaming podcast in which Gary Butterfield (Watch Out For Fireballs) and William Hughes (The A.V. Club) attempt to analyze every single item, boss, character, and concept in the rogue-lite video game The Binding Of Isaac. They manage to pull it off only slightly less than 50 percent of the time.

This week we talk about Season 3 at large, a season of the Venture Bros. that largely concerned itself with the history of these characters and this world. It was uneven, but the highs were very high! We also read your responses to Season 3, and get ready for the rip-roarin' Season 4.

This week we talk about an experimental indie adventure game that seems fine, we just weren't in the mood for it at the time. So we talk about proper marshmallows, letting 'er rip, and pepper spray.

This week we continue our discussion of Ashen, the indie Souls-like that's open world, made for co-op, built around side quests, and has terrible, terrible dungeons. Our frustration runneth over as we head toward the second major boss, Amiren, in the Seat of the Matriarch, on our guest to reassemble the Heart that will tell us where to find the bird that will restart the world.

Our old friend Matt Dickie turns his sights on making a... realistic?... simulation of prison life. Featuring lots of people in Bane masks. And full-screen brawls. And people carrying around television cameras. And toilets. And people telling you to stop being friends with yourself.

Big changes are on the way, as Brock has been burned by the OSI and the Monarch has license to arch, and possibly kill, Dr. Venture. The resulting pileup of plots and schemes is messier than we'd like, but it sets us up for cool things as the Venture Bros. proves that it's willing to kill its own status quo.

Troma decided to take the disgusting and disturbing Toxic Avenger series and adapt it... for kids! What we got was a one season animated show that was a weak stab at Captain Planet, but at least it resulted in some neat toys. Oh, and some very bad video games.

It's about time!
This week, we set our wayback machines to 1995 to discuss one of the most beloved games of all time. Chrono Trigger was part of a late salvo of 16-bit RPGs that defined a generation of storytelling for people who grew up with it. We have problems with the shallowness of its systems, but its charisma can't be denied.

Thank you Nicholas!
Welcome to the Courtesy Dome where two polite midwesterners sensibly argue whether this game is good or bad. Is it a cool mystery story with a neat aesthetic? Or is it an effectively linear, barely interactive time tax? ONLY YOU CAN DECIDE.
Paradise Killer is an odd duck. Part visual novel, part mystery adventure game, part 3d collectathon platformer? With light dating sim elements. We spoil the whole mystery here, so listener beware!
