I did this image twice as I wasn't happy with it the first time. :P

I tried a different way to approach the layers for shading and lighting... honestly didn't like the process. I think I'm just set in my ways in how I like to do it. But was useful to experiment.

I probably should have pushed Urn's size in that full body image a bit more. Even tho he's picking Lewis up they look a tad too close height wise. I might go back and tweak the floor brightness so you can see the cast shadow from Lewis better. Which should help communicate that he's up off the ground.

I also might go back and add some more intrusive thoughts behind Lewis.

Hi-res: Broken Straps + WIP

The more I look at this I think I should have gone for a more 'traditional' hot spring look. Mostly rocks, etc.
It kinda looks more like just a nice lake/river/stream to me now. Oh well, still looks nice. ^^

I tried to be a little different with how this one was done. I'm still very unsure how to do outside scenes when they aren't painted in. So I tried to just draw up the background then put some colour down with some variations in colours.

Sketches and WIPs

First image is a WIP for a commission.

Second image is a random character I made. Not sure what if anything I'll do with her. Might see if anyone wants to buy her.

Third & Fourth image are me trying to doodle up some ideas related to the next comic project. Plan is to do up a test page to try out some ideas with the style. Tho maybe it's better to just do a single panel then try to do that one panel a few different ways. We shall see!

Re-centering Myself & My Art

I've been completely unhappy with my art lately and I'm finding it difficult to even work on things. So to help with this I am calling whatever WIPs I have going done and moving on. This is only two images, one of a bun and another of Urn. I need to give myself a clean slate and try and refocus. (My comic project I will be continuing! Not stopping that!)

Decided to block out the background in greyscale to sorta figure out what I'm after. I really want to push colours & values in this picture some.

Also I did some Deedlit doodles. Been experimenting with sketching with a 100% solid thin brush. It feels bad honestly. lol. Not to mention I'm rusty as hell with human faces.

I noticed a few people are using the app store to purchase their subscription still. Don't do that! Use the website (desktop)not the app! There is a 30% App Store fee.
Which not only costs you more money, it looks like there is an app store fee on my end as well.

I also believe they hold on to the money for several weeks before I even get it. Gotta love apple taking peoples money for providing zero service.

Just a reminder. I decided to remove the nose piercing as I didn't like it anymore. I'll be removing it from previous pages once the comic is finished. :)
