A few weeks ago, we had an intense lightning storm, which is very rare here in Northern California. This touched off a series of wildfires, which have blanketed our sky in a smoky haze, darkening the sky even at noon, and filling the nostrils with the scent of burning.
A bit surreal, considered the subject matter I've been working on.
I'm still working on the "special" bubbles. I like this shape a lot better, but I think the gradient fill might be a bridge too far.
