In the last poll, the farm management simulation won, so I've been thinking a lot lately about how to flesh out that idea.

At first, I was going to go for a movie <The Martian> vibe where you're colonizing a barren planet, but I felt like that was too similar to the themes of my previous games. Something like that isolated feeling in a sci-fi lab? Both <Memories in Calories> and <Juno's Soft Landing> had that going on.

So this time I wanted to make something that feels more nature oriented. I put quite a bit of thought into designing a female protagonist who fits the farm setting and is also hot!

That GIF is a chroma key video for the idle animation that will go on the title screen. In my previous games, I often used Live2D animation, which wasn't bad for showing slight expansion or jiggling. But since I don't usually separate layers much when I draw, it was hard to animate things like blinking eyes or parts that are covered up. This time I combined several tools, including AI, to solve that problem, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I'm planning to apply animation to most of the character images in the game.

My original goal was to finish it this year, but I want to include more characters, so it's probably going to be a longer project. You'll likely be able to play the first playable demo in about 2-3 weeks.

It’s been quite a while since I released my last game, so I think it’s time to start a new project. I was waiting for this year’s GainJam (the game jam with the WG theme), but I found out too late that it was canceled. I’d like to finish something before the end of the year, so this one will probably be a short game. I have a few theme ideas so please vote for your favorite, or leave your thoughts in the comments.
