Hi,


Almost all Karin&Tayana events are done (coded). This weekend I will fix the rest and try to add as much as I can and release it. I believe that things we go faster after this update as I will also take a breather for being able to accomplish it after some time.

Also, I will try to render and post the HQ wallpaper of this month on Friday.

Hi,


Progress with the renders is coming to an end. It's been 103 renders so far and counting. Karin is done and 2 scenes left for Tayana. After Tayana's scenes, I will start coding. There will be some extra work on the coding part too so I don't want to be late for it again. 

And after the coding, if I have time I will try to add 2 more events with two new characters.  


So yeah that's it for now.

Hey,


I keep rendering the scenes and Karin's scenes will be done today. I think the total number of rendered scenes will be around 110 - 120. (I am talking about the full scenes. Not just plain images.) It's kind of a big number for me when you consider the gear that I have. Its taking time but I believe that it will be a satisfying update when it's finally out.

So fingers crossed for the next month.

I have been working on the scripts as I mentioned in the last post. There will be around 10 - 12 new events and I wrote their drafts. Most of these events will be shared between Karin and Tayana. Aside from these, I am also planning to present two new characters. I don't wish to spoil it from today so I don't want to give any info about their personalities or how/where their events will occur.

Hi,


Coding part is almost done. Now you can train skills, make coins through duty, crafting&selling, killing&looting. Also, we have a simple day-night cycle so you can progress further in time. Of course, right now these are on the "early game access" level. So naturally, things will have a better balance in time.

Currently, I am getting some renders that I am planning to use at menu backgrounds.

I kept working on the screens/menus and fixed most of them. For the inventory, I added three tabs for categorizing the items: Hunting, Crafting and Quest items.

Sorry for the delay. I had trouble working on the game due to my other occupations as they messed up with my working hours but I am getting over it.

Images and text are all in the game now. I am just not so happy with the map about how it looks. So the next 2-3 days I will try a couple of more things and if the results satisfy me then I can release it with the map otherwise I may delay it (or release it without the map not quite sure if it will worth to release it that way tho...). And If it goes to the next month I can also fix the skills, inventory menu, etc.

So yeah we will see.

Backgrounds are done. Currently, I am getting renders for the maps.  In a couple of days, I will give a break to the 3D stuff and start coding. And I think around 10 days most of the work will be done for the next update.

I rendered the scenes for the update only images for the maps are left. (interiors and exteriors.) I will do a basic map for the start just to see it work and after this one, I will give the intro&demo its last shape and jump to the "game".

I keep working on the "extended" intro. I redid one scene and rendering a new one right now.

With the next update, I will be focusing on the town map and locations. Not everything will be accessible for now but you will have an idea about what I have in mind. For some, you will also need to advance in story and skills. 

After the next update, I am hoping to set most of it and start the game.

Alfaville Intro is out!

Hey,

Alfaville's Intro is out! I set 5-days early access to it for $5 tier. After that, it will be public.

It has around half an hour gameplay, ~80 images and ~5k words in it. I consider this build as a "rough sketch" as I was new to the tools that I was using. By playing this you can have a little idea about the setting and characters. (Not all characters tho)

All images and text are imported in the Ren'Py and they are working just fine. The only thing with the intro is it is very silent now. So I will add some background sounds and sound effects, do a little polishing and it will be ready in 2-3 days.

This week I will start programming the intro. I redid some of the scenes. There are some things that I am feeling really satisfied with the results and there is also some other stuff that I am planning to rework later on the 3D side of the game. But I am done for this very first version of the intro.

I also edited the page and got it ready for the new project.

I will get back at some of the scenes to polish them but I think I can say that renders are done for Alfaville. It's been quite a long week for me as this required a lot of trying and learning. I also got greedy a little bit and did more than I planned. And I am pretty sure that I will do some more before I start programming.

So in my great and unmatched wisdom, everything is under control and going with the plan. :|

I keep rendering the images for the intro. Two scenes are fixed and another one is on the way. I think most of it or all will be ready this weekend.

When all is done I will also redesign the page and get it ready for the next game.


Our collaborated project with Fritz is also progressing and here is Gretchen, the main character of that game.

She is fast, thorough, and sharp as a tack.

I typed the first draft for the intro and I am mostly happy about how it turned out. I think after a few edits it will be completely ready. When I was typing I came up with a lot of gameplay and dialogue options but probably I will force myself to keep things as simple as possible for now.
