Start of month update

Hey Folks,

This is my first public post in a while, but just wanted to get a message out to patrons and non-patrons.

Firstly - I'm back!   As some of you know, I had some real-life stuff to sort out.  Nothing sad or tragic (and no personal issues, etc.), just stuff that kept me away from the game (professional exams, changed job, etc.), but nothing to bore you folks with.  Although the latest "distraction" was my girlfriend ended up in hospital after cutting her finge...

No Charge in December!

Folks,

I have decided to pause my Patreon account for December.  This means that none of you should be charged any money at the start of the month.

The reason  is because currently, I cannot commit to releasing Episode 9 in a timely manner.   I would have liked to get it out in Mid -December, but based on current progress, this may not be possible.  And I don't want to let you know in December AFTER you have been charged, so I'm calling it now and turning off pay...

Weekend update


For those of you looking for a link to the "official" walkthrough, I have updated my Patreon Main Page with the link (and it's also below).

Only current up to Episode 6, but I'll have Episode 7 completed shortly.

Episode 8 walkthrough will be released shortly after Episode 9 of the game comes out.

Weekend Update

Hey Folks,

I made one minor update to Episode 8:  To correct an issue where one of the new characters in Episode 8 was causing a conflict with the Profile image of Francois (waiter from Episode 6).  So nothing major and certainly nothing worth re-downloading the updated version.

I've also added a compressed version (lower quality / smaller download size) and a partial compressed version (Episode 8 in full, episode 1-7 compressed).

Episode 8 Release

Folks,


Episode 8 will be released today 7th November.  Have approx. 2-3hrs work to complete (the final stats, etc. and one render that I need to re-do).  It's 01:44 now, so going to bed.

Will make the changes and publish the update when I get home form work tonight, so Episode will be released at approx. 10pm tonight (UK/Irish time)

Weekend update

Very quick update (going to bed - up for work in 4hrs).  Team have been working solidly ALL weekend on Episode 8.  

 ALL renders complete (3 or 4 to touch up).  Script is 99% complete.

Code is all over the place (variable tracking, menu branching, etc.), so lots of work needed to get that fixed.

But will get back on that after work tomorrow... Still on track for a release on the 7th!

Dev update

Hey Folks,

Things are going well.  The script is pretty much complete.  Renders are almost complete (all scenes except two are done, and those two just need a few final renders.)

Then a second pass of a few final touch-ups.

After that, the finalized renders get plugged into the script (about 60% of that plugging has already bee done), then it's spell-check, typo correction, firm up the coding (so all the ifs/else/loops, etc. are in the right place and all options make sen...

Midweek Update

Hey folks,

Just a quick update on Episode 8.  As mentioned previously it is looking like it will be a similar size (from a script perspective) as Episode 7, but with more renders and in my opinion (you can judge for yourselves when it's out) an improved render quality also.

I'm approx. 70% complete on the script.   

I'll continue to progress this week and the weekend.  This weekend is a public holiday weekend (no work on Monday) and I've cancelled ALL other plan...

MidWeek update

Hey Folks,


Just a quick update.  Earlier in the month, I mentioned that I wasn't sure if the next episode would be a FULL length episode, or  a smaller-sized extension of episode 7 (similar to the Episode6X release back in August).

New artwork

...whereas this one is created by the new team members.  It's obviously still the same Katie, but I think it looks a lot crisper, more life-like, better HD/ colour quality.....

I'd suggest downloading both and flicking between the two to get a real feel for the (IMO) improvements.
