Hey Folks,


Exciting update:  As of yesterday the development team has grown from just me to a team of three.  I am delighted to announce that two Daz artists have now joined the team.

Midweek Update

Hey Folks,

Just a quick update (it's almost 2am and up for work in 4.5 hrs, so won't babble on too long).

Firstly, I  wanted to say thanks again for the support and the positive comments on Episode 7.   It is really appreciated.  I didn't know if it was the right call (postponing the party scene and concentrating Episode 7 on pre-party only), but I went with my gut and based on the feedback, so far, it looks like it was a popular choice.

Dev update

Away for work atm, so posting this from my phone..... Took two days off after Episode 7 release. Started working on next episode on Wednesday & some today. Have an exam tomorrow, but after that, get back to spending all spare time on the game. Not working on renders atm because I'm away, but I am working on the new script which is the norm at this stage of a new episode. Ep7 Dev Update

Script is done.  Just need to add renders for the final scene.  And one of the middle scenes needs a couple of more renders.  Then it is onto full playthrough (for bugs / errors / typos / variable tracking ) and then add the stats screen (after I calculate the max points for each character).  

Current count for this episode is over 2000 lines of code/dialog and 120 renders (with another 15-20 to add)

Start of week update (Long version)

Hey All,

Apologies for being quiet over the past week, but I've been working on the game consistently, so I avoided all forums / postings.  I took Thursday & Friday off work to work on the game and worked continuously for the past 5 days (4x18hr days Thurs-Sun and 7hrs tonight after I got home from work) to try to get some shape onto Episode 7.

Start of week update

Quick update regarding progress. Family wedding really impacted the weekend Dev progress, so I AM behind schedule.  However, I am taking a vacation day on Thursday to try to compensate (will get a solid 18hr day in, which is badly needed at this stage.), so that should hopefully set me up well for the weekend.   Also pulling a late one tonight to help make up some ground.....   I'll put up a % progress update on Thursday night and keep everyone posted throughout the week...

Start of week update

Hey Folks,

Rough estimate of my completion rate is approx. 60% which means I'm working at a rate of about 20% per week.  Based on that, I'm putting in a provisional date of 24th September for the release of Episode 7.  The caveat is that after each week, my estimated length (snigger) for the epsiode seems to increase which means that 20% per week means more work than the previous week (I'm a terrible tyrant of a boss to myself), but hopefully, that date is achievable...

Start of week update!

Howdy folks,


Quick update before I hit the hay.  Good weekend with the vast majority of it working on the game, so made a decent bit of progress.  Rough guesstimate is that I'm about 40% done on Episode 7, so a bit of catching up to do this week.

I have the whole party scene(s)  mapped out in my head, but not much of it scripted yet.  I have approx. 25 renders complete for the party and another 35 renders complete for the non-party scenes.

Stats screen

At this stage, you will have all played a version of the game where there were no stats screens (so you are blind to your current attributes) or where you can check your stats at the end of each episode only.

 Or (as seen in Ep6X), you have a choice to constantly check your stats throughout the episode.  So just wondering what players inputs are and which option you would like going forward.

I think No stats is just too difficult and some players will end up losing interest in ...

Weekend Update

Hey Folks,

Good progress during the week and all of last night.  Have 3 pre-party scenes complete.  There are a few more scenes I'd like to get in before the party, but these are scenes that could be pushed to subsequent days,if time is tight, so for now, I'm not going to start on these extra scenes.  I'm going to jump straight into the party scenes.  So the plan is to keep busy working on the party scenes for the next 10 -12 days or so, and then take stock and see what nee...

Start of week update

Spent a lot of time over the weekend, rendering.  In addition to completing the images for the first couple of scenes, I have the basic scenes set up (lighting, etc.) for a couple of later scenes.  From a playable content perspective, I don't have a lot of progress (probably around 15-20% complete and even that would only be considered a very rough draft), these scene set-ups will help in the long run and should mean quicker progress over the next couple of weeks.

Episode 6X released

Episode 6X (extended version of Episode 6) has now been released.  It doubles the number of images/renders in Episode 6 and increases the overall script length by approximately 66%  (3 new scenes).

Quick Update

Hey Folks,

9:14am local time.  Pulled an all-nighter.  Approx. 95% done.  Lots of typos,  errors in the code at the moment (variables not adding up correctly).  Gonna grab a few hours sleep, then back at it.  Still aiming to have a release out before the end of the day, so approx. 15hrs away......
