After 2 solid weeks of rain & effectively being stuck on the plot, we'd began to run low on supplies. Thus ground had dried out a little but it was still touch and go, but we gave it a try... with a run up!

In order to get to grips with how the layout is going to be, we decided to lay out the boundery of the veg patch, reusing some of the concrete posts that have been laying around here for years. We also create a wildlife pond down on the bottom terrace to relocate all of the frogs, newts and critters that currently live in the wells so we can then clean, cover & begin to use them.

We've now officially hit rainy season. The weather turns the whole plot into mush, and barring the odd hour or so of gaps in the weather, we were forced indoors for 2 weeks. We made do the best we could and kept entertained in a number of different methods from nerding out on the playstation to a posh wine, cheese and... oil night.

I'm in a mobile editing skunk-works at the moment!
I currently have every video project left from portugal on the go as I've kind of forgot what happened when.
Because of that and a stupid idea to folder each clip in Project order rather than date, it's a complete mess with some funny outcomes. For example, in this video's early stages of edit, the shed kept changing colour back and forth because some was recorded before, & some after it's paint job! 😂

So as some of you have seen, we've had to uproot and come back the the UK this weekend.
Absolutally gutted, but thanks to a Burocracy, Covid and Brexit shit cocktail we had no choice.

A storm had battered the campsite we'd taken shelter at the night previous, but our problems still weren't over. With no vegitation or trees to absorb the rain water, it was running off of all the hills and raising the river dramatically. The rain stuck around for 5 days making most things impossible, so we bunkered down on the campsite turned storm shelter with our new neighbours, but as always things aren't plain sailing.
