Controlling the lights in my house using an IBM AT and MS-DOS.
This is what I live for.
Whee, new thrifting video finally!

Easily one of the most fascinating machines I own and I am happy to finally talk about it for a bit! Enjoy the funkiness :)

Obviously, the game is meant to mimic the aesthetic of a 1930s film being projected on screen in color, not on a 1980s black and white TV, so this doesn't make much sense. But I had a number of requests from people to do this since I've shown modern games playing on this TV before, so this is for those curious folks :)

There is no reason to do this.
That is why I did this.
"I know, I'll do a quick, simple little video about Sega PC ports."
Annnnnd now it's half an hour long, even after editing. I cannot lazy.

This one's been a long time coming and I am finally happy with the result. Diving into the Roland SC-55mkII and touching on several other devices in the Sound Canvas lineup!
Big thanks to Anders Jensen, Sean Hamilton, and all you fine folks here on Patreon for the help! Your donations, advice, and financial support are vital in making videos like this happen -- now and in the future :)
PushingUpRoses and I were recording various games together recently and, well, this happened. Ha. "Christina Aguilera: Follow Your Dreams."
It's really just such an absurd, silly program that I was kind of left speechless for much of this and don't know if I'll be uploading it publicly. But here's a version for you!
And if you'd like to watch us play through something a bit more enjoyable, here's the latest entry in our exploration of the 250 Games CD-ROM ;)

Well that's outta the way.
NEXT!
Happy Great American Eclipse Day!
Well, if you happen to be in the continental US at least.
Otherwise, here's a new LGR episode to enjoy :)
166MHz Pentium MMX! 80MB RAM! Windows 95! All this and more for just under 6 grand in 1997. Let's take a look at this notebook computer that was once cutting edge, the Gateway 2000 Solo 2200 S5-166.

ALSO. You may have seen ...
Now this is how you do a '90s throwback FPS.

Just a simple hardware/software replacing, refreshing, and cleaning video that I recorded because why not :)

Good grief this was a lot of awesome stuff. Edited down over 1.5 hours of footage this time!

I was just going to be setting up this lovely display up for fun to enjoy some '90s PC games today, but I figured why not film the process and pop up a surprise Wednesday video. Haven't seen many unboxing videos of new old stock monitors so it seemed like it may be worth sharing.
So that's what this is, nothing more nothing less :)
Here's the first draft of a Tech Tales I've had in the works for a couple months! My goal with this one is to clarify some misconceptions about "big boxes" in terms of collecting and also dive into some history of how they came to be/fell off the face of the planet.
Special thanks to Jim Leonard and Brenda Romero for their help with this!
Hope y'all enjoy and lemme know what ya think :)
Video should be working now :)
