By cycle 212, I deemed it a mathematical certainty that I'd have to pay taxes. Every calculation I ran confirmed it. I knew I couldn't pay taxes, nor did I care to. But I could commit tax fraud, and in the process, save money.

The Hegemony commerce inspectors seized everything they thought looked taxable, and they do like to seize everything.They're who you might call the 'tax collectors,' among other roles.
