When I woke up on my 16th Birthday, I didn’t feel very different. I know I’m going to be expected to do some kind of press event soon. Have known for a while. As dinner disappears from the table, leaving my plate clean and sparkling in front of me, Professor Dumbledore stands up. I know from his Chocolate Frog card that he’s one hundred and twenty-seven, but he only looks to be in his late eighties. He’s wrinkled all over, seems strong in his bones still, standing tall without any hunches or obvious pains. Well, death isn’t what I’d expected. This is just a great black void, a complete lack of anything comparable to the afterlife I believe in. Obviously there is something wrong. I’ve been to a couple of afterlives but it is still concerning to have one’s soul thrust from their own body. This is the first draft for the plot of the story that I want to write. I based it on Harry Potter for simplicity and then went from there. This is all before I went to any editors with it. It's relatively bare-bones and is a good outline for how I want the story to go, or things I should add. This is public so everyone can get a feel for what they're getting into before I post anything anywhere else.
