Game Event CG Progress

CG scenes are all planned out and are being produced at this time along with many other game assets. Some of these scenes will be fully animated as as well, which will be exciting! The great Washa and I will be joining forces for those scenes. We have done some rudimentary tests for both the foreplay interactive scenes and the full event scene loops.

Spellhearts - Game Announcement Update

The publisher's have informed me that we will be announcing Spellhearts to the world via Twitter on this coming Friday the 4th! The Steam store page will be live and ready to go with information about the game, screenshots, and wish-listing. The 4th is slightly after the current Chinese New Year Sale (which we are trying to avoid).

Orchid's Tree House - Rough Layout

This is essentially what I give the background team at GVIO. I rough out the designs s well as a rough lighting scheme and a general sense of the colors. I also provide detailed notes and reference for all the objects and furnishings, as well as a bit of backstory on the location/ characters associated with it.

Background Progress

Some more FANTASTIC work by GVIO Studio. The environment work is really upping the production value of the whole look. Very happy with it so far. 


Here we have to areas of the game: "Trail to town" and "West Gate", respectively. There are some fo the first backgrounds used at the start of the game, as the player approaches the town of Hallowdrake, where most of the game takes place.

Spellhearts - Mid-December Game Update

Hey guys! Been a while since a game dev update so, I'll let you all know where we are in production.


- Writing is well underway. Brim, who's worked on several titles and is on many upcoming games is doing a GREAT job working with me to write the dialogue for all the scenes and scenarios. The characters are all very unique and coming to life.

Velma Returns!

Spellhearts - Background Art

I am pleased to say the first finished game background is here! It's a part of Alandra's castle. As you may notice, some backgrounds (like this one) are extra wide, so the player can pan horizontally and explore more during explore mode.

Spellhearts - Event CG style

Here we have the first completed event scene artwork that will be featured in the "foreplay mode" in the game. Here you can see s ample of the style of the event illustrations to come.

These scenes allow the player to interact with the NPC by touching different areas as she talks to you. If the player can raiser her desire enough, they will be rewarded. These scenes will also feature some limited animation for talking, expressions, and interaction (yes there will be booba jiggle).

Spellhearts - Event CG

Now that most of the event scenes with the MC girls are figured out, I will begin to finish them off. It will probably take me the better part of the next 14 months... but they will be glorious. The game will feature several types of event CG. Some will be static, some will be partially animated, some will be FULLY animated, and some will even be interactive (clicking on parts and removing clothing etc.).

Game Map Designs

Here is the current iteration of the map design for traveling around in Spellhearts. As you can see, there are many NPC houses, shops, and town locales to explore here. 

The Forest (dungeon) has it's own map that indicates creature encounters as well as listing explored vs. unexplored areas. Landmarks can be found in here as well (unique locations in the dungeon that can be explored or where NPCs can be found).

Welp, it's official. Spellhearts has passed the initial inspections and the app has been approved on Steam. This means the store page "coming soon" will be up very soon for the public and wishlisting will be possible. No turning back now folks!

UI Designs - WIP

Starting to nail down the style for all the GUI elements and such. THere's a ton of icons necessary still, but with some finished ones and some placeholder ones I can start to get a good sense of how the GUI will flow and operate.

Foreplay Event - Animation WIP #1

I am pleased to also announce we will be working with a very skilled animator on Spellhearts (who will be announced soon). 

The game will feature several types of animated scenes. Foreplay Mode is a type of interactive mode where the player can fondle and undress the NPC girl you are courting once you've gotten past the flirtation phase.

Game Announcement - Coming soon

We will be officially announcing Spellhearts on social media very soon, along with the launching of the Steam store page for the game. 

I'm very excited to share the work we are doing over the next 14 months until launch as we are fairly confident we can get the game out by October 2022 (i time for spooky season).  The main project scheduling is now in place and it's looking good.

Game progress updates will be frequent as we continue development.

Monster - It's time to slime!

What would a creepy forest be without a friendly (or not so friendly) slime?

Here is my completed slime enemy design. The main dungeon of the game featured several creatures types, not all of which are inherently hostile. And, you can eve catch some to sell to the local shop for some cash!


As you can see, out slime friend is quite goopy. And that's the way I like it.

Backgrounds

I have a background art studio about to start work on some of the star backgrounds for Spellhearts, which I am very excited to share. Here is a background sample I did myself for the dungeon design. 

Although I would love to do all the background work for the game, it's impossible, as there are about 30 backgrounds necessary. So, soon I will show and announce the background artist that will be assisting me.
