CH 3 - pg 10-11 WIP ($3+)

omg faces from the front are my nemesis bc they require symmetry!!! trying some mildly funky stuff with lettering but i'm just running as fast as i can because we're entering the final KISSDOWN!!! i'm rattling the bars of my cage, my pupils are dilating, gnashing my teeth, 

EDIT: The second panel on the second page was supposed to be ACHILLES!!!!!!!!!!! OMGGGGGGgGGGGggggg i spetn so long on that too ughhhhhHh this is what i get for sloppy pencils, maybe ill just leave it..... .>...

CH 3 WIP snippets - 08272022 ($1+)

I was talking earlier with a friend about drawing comics in chronological order vs out of order. While I will sometimes jump out of order because I can't wait to draw something, I usually need to draw in chronological order because my pencils are so rough and I make so much up as I go, ESPECIALLY for this chapter?? this is just one example of a minor change that still affects a lot before and after it 😪

compared to how overprepared I was for ch 1-2, I feel completely wild for chapter...

CH 3 - pgs 7-9 wip ($3+)

i can't remember how i used to post updates hahaha 

anyway, it feels like I've been winging this chapter more than the previous two. this one feels the most murky to me -- the page layouts are rough, from 6 months ago, don't match my current standards, etc--so i'm making them up on the spot... but i think we'll be ok 😌💦 being over-prepared takes too much time and time is more limited nowadays, between my wrists, work, etc 😪 💦💦💦

OK thank goodness the covid I caught was short lived and I'm back to normal! thanks so much for yalls well wishes, I didnt have energy to respond but I appreciated it a lot 🥺 

still getting back in the groove of drawing but I spent too long on this silly little sequence of flower just for moodiness reasons 😅 PHEW it's nice to be back, happy SZF!! 💜💜💜💜

i'm still easing back into Ease Off (lmao). the first step is it block out all the panel frames just so give myself some structure, and also because i'm rusty on drawing 😅  i definitely left this chapter with more notes than before! this is fine!! we'll be fine!!! happy slut zag friday!!!

Chapter 2 - Post-Mortem / BTS

A quick post-mortem/BTS before I go. This one is not as technical as the first, now that I've settled into a rhythm, and is mostly a mushy recap of the Emotional Journey So Far. Also I lose track of how many times I say "im tired so..." 💦 maybe i'll go make some coffee....

OK chapter 2.3 is done and I'll be posting it for $3+ tier on Friday!! In the meantime I sped ahead to the chapter 3 title page--I love drawing these a lot. Anyway happy hump day!!!

Blew through to the end of tones !!! On track to post Chapter 2.3 (and the LAST PAGES OF CHAPTER 2!!!) on Friday-ish!! Sorry this Part is just Megaera Simping Part 1. She'll be back later. I struggled with her colors so much and I realize only now that Achilles is just Grey except for his eyes lmfao sorry achilles!!

OK!!!! I finally reached the end of chapter 2 inks!!! The only thing left is the blacks and tones etc and then Chapter 2 will be completely DONE!!!! get us out of here!!! 

Tentatively saying the end of next week. I refuse to stay in chapter 2 any longer!!!!

Chapter 2.3 (pgs 52-53) - $3+

OK this part is SHORT!!! compared to the last part. Achilles and Megaera just hash out what just happened and the Solution is Presented To Achilles and He Ignores It. The only thing between us and BOINKING is how fast can I draw it and then.... and THEN..........!! 

Chapter 2, Part 3 - full page WIPs, pg 55-56 ($3+)

this chapter is just talking heads of Megaera and Achilles!!!!!! and scenery shots to make it not boring so hopefully it won't be. i love them!!!!!

PHEW!! this part is pretty short but real life/work has been distracting me. Also, I've been spending a little too much time on Meg's room--that top-down view is a little daunting, but it's too fun hahaha.  I've probably said already that this part is one of my favorite parts.

Chapter 3 - deleted Patchilles scene (TSOA)

Chapter three has a couple flashbacks, including this younger Patchilles moment (drawn in orange) where I was fiddling a bit with The Song Of Achilles stuff. Alas, i think it's cutting room floor for young pat and achilles talking 😔  The chapter feels stronger when the flashbacks are silent and less distracting 

This dialogue+sketches are emotional placeholders, but it's good enough to get the gist. This was a fun little idea and I might try one more time to save it, but �...

CHAPTER 3+4 Thumbs, sort of ($1)

I've finally been in the mood to edit Big Plot Scenes I've been procrastinating on for a while. Very excited for those chapters. Ch 3, Zagchilles finally FUCK!!!!! Chapter 4 has a lot of fun!! There's a bath! A tone shift! They also boink again but also there are Good Talks and some Sad. I'm excited for every chapter!!
