Cruising - Download

There are times when you are just in the mood to see what action you can find. Some easy transactional sex with anonymity and ease is all you are in the mood for. What do you do? You go walking naked in the bushes at your favourite cruising ground to see who you can find.

This shoot was a few months ago when "Hung Gay C*ck" was in town. At that time he hadn't shown his face in his posts. He has now but to preserve his anonymity at the time we went for the cruising vibe.

A change of pace

Some days nature plays havoc with your plans and this shoot with Michael was one of them. We’d been trying to coordinate a shoot on one of his visits to town and this was the only day we could make it work. Even though I had some ideas for the shoot, we had to adapt to the new circumstances.

Out of my comfort zone

In the past I have stepped in front of the camera for some photographers and artists that I know but it had been some time. As I get older and more critical of my aging body it's harder to take that leap.

The frustration

This morning one of my models messaged to say he's joined the military and on their demand, he's withdrawing any consent for his imagery to be used. Specifically any imagery that includes nudity. That essentially means any imagery we have created together.

Will it work?

The series of downloads I've done called "In My Bed" has been very popular and for very good reason. I think being in a bed is obviously very familiar to everyone so models feel comfortable and with that comfort comes a lowering of inhibitions. There have been a few models who have surprised me with their openness in front of the camera in this setting.

Having moved house a couple of months ago it's going to be a challenge to make these work in quite the same way I have done them before...

Time to get back in the studio

It's been over 6 months since I last stepped into a photography studio and I think that's just silly. By the end of 2023 I was pretty exhausted after the exhibition, moving house and a lot of pressure at work. Thankfully I had enough shoots in the bag ready to release but those are running out.

The story behind Morning
