September update: delays, frustrations and the future

TL;DR: Some awful family issues are bringing delays and slowing down my progress on art. I'm really sorry about this, but luckily I'm taking measures to get back on track!

Skirting Around - (Full res + captionless)

Percy and Jord go on a cozy aquarium date, but not even the calmness of the deep seas can quiet the raging horniness in Percy's mind. 

If you're wondering why they were carrying condoms on this innocent date, the reason is that Percy, being a horny mastermind, snuck them into his pocket thinking it would make cleanup easier.

Also, because I like drawing condoms too much!!

I've been trying to find a good balance between polishing my poses and keeping them natural and fun. I'm proud of how they turned out for these few commissions!

I'm still working on my colors and hopefully my studies and practice will pay off. I feel like I'm close to a breakthrough, but even if I never get it, it's really cool to be able to play around with colors in ways I wouldn't have thought of before!

Getting to draw all the parodies of the movie posters was SO much fun!! I have to do more detailed illustration like those...
Getting to design an outfit is also always fun, but in this case I was really given tons of freedom and I got to experiment with fantasy clothing, which I rarely do!

These two are Adhira and Clover! 

Adhira works in a factory, is a trans rights advocate and exudes horny energy with every smug smile. Clover is an independent sex worker and writer/translator. Her horniness is more contained, but burns bright within her heart. Together, the two of them can't get off each other.

I had a little bit of difficulty with this few commissions, but I think it was an early experience!

I kept thinking of ideas and ideas for how to frame and make these commissions special, but... I realized I was thinking about it using words and not images. The moment I started thinking visually, with shapes, angles, and colors, and forgetting the description of what I actually wanted to draw, art started to flow, and it was very natural and fun!

This batch of commissions was super interesting to do! I got a chance to do some character design and some stylized backgrounds, which are both things that I love doing but don't always have a chance to do! 

I'm still exploring the potential of less realistic and more "pop" shading, and I'm very happy with it! I feel like the more I break the rules of drawing, the more I understand those rules. In a way, it's like I'm learning by rebelling a bit, and... I don't know, that's kind of...
