VoidRealms JUNE 2021: "Threshold of Corruption"

Hey everyone!

I'm doing a special collab with 5e Magic Shop (https://www.5emagic.shop) for next month to create a set of original sculpts called "Beyond the Threshold of Corruption" with a very Cronenberg vibe!

Mligleth: 150+mm Cosmic Horror, original design. Two head variants, open and closed. Fans of Kingdom Death should appreciate the goofy yet horrifying qualities of this thing!

Minglers: (regular) 3 varieties of cursed souls

Necromancer: (regular) aka "Nibrekaldahr," this is an ancient being from the Outer Planes. He's shown summoning one of the Minglers (the Hopper)

Ambulator: This is what happens when the Necromancer fuses multiple Minglers together

Soul Spitter: Pretty self explanatory - the souls it spits out will hide in the creature's back if they feel threatened.

MAY full lineup: The King of Carcosa

Greetings from the VoidRealms!

For the month of May, Hastur: The King in Yellow arises in regal form, riding on the Beast of Carcosa. Which model are you most looking forward to printing? Here's the full lineup breakdown of this set from the Cthulhu Mythos:

1. Hastur (cosmic horror) - about 100mm tall alone. He sits on top of the Beast with a long cape attachment that drapes all the way to the ground (you can print and display him by himself as well, without the beast or the long cape.)

2. The Beast of Carcosa (cosmic horror / gargantuan, 150mm tall)- This is an original VoidRealm Minis monster! I wanted to do something directly inspired by Moder from The Ritual, but very much its own design, and I had a lot of fun creating this Cosmic Horror. Hastur sits directly on top of him, and you can add the optional "Yellow Sign" bit of magic (this is rendered Yellow in the monthly overview poster; the renders of the Beast alone do not include it.) Fun fact, the "Yellow Sign" itself is actually the silhouette of the Beast's antlers if you overlap them slightly.

3. Byakhee (large, 55mm+-) The Byakhee are winged, batlike insectoid inhabitants of Carcosa. There are two poses and two interchangeable head options included with the Byakhee.

4. Shoggoth Swarm (large / regular, 30-55mm) The classic Lovecraftian species from Mountains of Madness comes in 3 varieties, with a central connector piece to blend them all into a single mass. Size ranges from 33mm to 55mm.

New Benefit: The Vault (kitbash / base pack)

Hey everyone!

Excited to announce a new benefit: The Vault! This will be an ever-expanding library of parts, bases, maybe terrain etc. pulled from the monthly releases and made available for kitbashing (digitally or physically.)

Couple notes:

* Like the Classics Collection, Patrons get immediate access to the entire Vault

* These bits are usually curated individual components from the monthly releases (a weapon, rock, or head, for example)

* These parts are unsupported

* Link will be added to the monthly file links post (you'll get a notification) and probably on MMF as well (still ironing out details on this)

* If anyone is ever interested in some tutorials or demos on how to Kitbash digitally, let me know!

NEW BENEFIT: Classics Collection

Hi, everyone!

I'm excited to announce that, starting in April, the Classics Collection will become a new benefit for all Patrons. Like the image says, this will be a vault of classic monsters inspired from various monster manuals, bestiaries, and mythology.

Unlike the monthly set of models, this collection will accumulate and supporting Patrons will have access to this entire library from day 1. I will continue to build it bit by bit, with the goal of livestreaming the creative process when I begin the sculpts in VR.

The Classics Collection will kick off with the Manticore (dropped in March already) along with 2 new additions for April, the Mushroom Man (inspired by the Vegepygmy) and the Demon Spider (inspired by the Choldrith.)

What classic DnD, Pathfinder, or mythological monsters would you like to see added to the CC next?

April 2021 Lineup!

"Lair of the Tethered One" will feature the following models:

1. Be'zerret: The Tethered One (cosmic horror, 100mm)

2. Vine Leviathan adolescent (huge, forms a vignette with Be'zerret)

3. Oracle of Be'zerret on Disc (2 poses)

4. Flash Hounds (2 poses each with 2 head options)

5. Snatchers (armless versions and versions with weapons)

Some LORE for this month:

Be'zerret - An ancient angel conquered millenia ago. The champion Banabos was said to have severed one of his wings and forced him deep underground, where he remains bound to a deep underground cavern via countless vines rooted in the rock (some say the vines extend into other dimensions.) He broods in his lair, confined to it physically, but has developed an ability to peer through the vines into other worlds and wield his influence. Reports during the modern age speak of cosmic vines invading the dreams of conscious beings, suffocating their minds and shattering their sanity.

Vine Leviathan - Be'zerret's pet. Scholars warn that the Vine Leviathan is almost certainly capable of binding with one of the twelve Unholy Ones, creating an atrocity of unfathomable scope. This is likely why the Portalmages guard the location of Be'zerret's lair with extreme caution.

Oracle of Be'zerret - This emissary of the fallen angel remains unbound to the Lair itself, but prefers to spend her time in it as this is where she is most powerful. She hovers on a disc, using the visions that he provides her to see and corrupt future events. The Oracle can encourage the growth of the Infinite Vines into other dimensions.

Flash Hounds - Fallen soldiers of Be'zerret were cursed into living immortal lives in the Lair as insatiable beasts. Their lures produce a blinding flash with which they stun their prey before feasting. Their preference is to eat their victims alive.

Snatchers - The Vines of Be'zerret occasionally break off and form bloodthirsty offshoots of his insanity, capable of wielding weapons.

APRIL Teaser Images

Hey everyone!

I'm finalizing the April lineup now....

It'll be called "Lair of the Tethered One" and is an attempt to stay true to my style while offering some potential crossovers for Chaos Daemon armies in Warhammer 40k / Age of Sigmar.

The cosmic horror for April will be "Be'zerret: The Tethered One." This is a fallen angel who is imprisoned in a deep underground cavern, tethered to the ground by countless vines, through which the blinded, ancient evil can peer into many dimensions. It should proxy as a Daemon prince for Tzeentch, if that's your thing!

The other models in the lineup compliment / add to the lore of Be'zerret and will be revealed close to the weekend.

Hey everyone!

VoidRealms v2.0: tier modifications

Hello everyone!

It’s time for me to make a few changes to the VoidRealms pricing structure. This won’t change much at all for current Standard Patrons, but will for Merchants. Standard pricing will now be: USD$5/ mo "early bird" (first 100), USD$8 after that. Merchant tier pricing will phase this month to USD$20 / month.

(The old Merchant tier will be active through the end of this month, but is hidden on the main page; IMPORTANT: if you want to remain a merchant after March 2021, please shift to the new Merchant tier - live as of this post. The old Merchant tier will be DELETED on April 1.)

With each release of VoidRealm Minis, I have improved the quality of sculpts that I deliver and I’m now investing much (much, MUCH) more time per monthly set. There are now added costs to getting the files pre-supported and test printed, as well as a significant amount spent on advertising. Sculpting / rendering software is often expensive, and subscription based.

The hard reality is that the money I make from this Patreon right now equates to an hourly rate that would’ve made even a 19th century industrial worker shudder. This is a sacrifice that I could make in the “startup” phase, but it’s time to try and give this VoidRealms thing some more solid foundations, so that I can, you know, actually support myself by bringing YOU original, cosmic horror monsters.

Here are the details:

• Standard (non-merchant) pricing will increase to USD$8 / month BUT, I will still keep the USD$5 / mo tier and cap it at the first 100 patrons. The $5 tier is becoming an early-bird to the standard tier moving forward.
• Merchant pricing (Wave 1) will increase to $20 / month (still one of the cheapest Merchant Tiers out there) and will be capped at 20 Patrons TOTAL for now. I have a sizable collection of models and varieties now, and I believe this can justify the cost. During the month of March, the new Merchant tier will open. Please migrate your license to the new merchant tier (you will be charged the difference when you upgrade.) If you do not move into the new tier by the end of the month when the old tier is deleted, sadly you will lose the ability to sell my prints. There are currently 25 merchant slots in the old merchant tier; if more than 20 wish to migrate to the new tier, I will consider allowing additional slots on a case by case basis, up to a max of 25 for now.
• The new Merchant tier will come with the following perks:
  • New 2021 photo album of refreshed renders.
  • All Merchants who migrate to the new tier in March will receive 1 previous monthly release of their choice for FREE as a thank-you for migrating.
  • 75% off MMF models for this first month (March.) This is THE time to pick up old models and is my way of saying thanks for supporting me through the pricing transition.
  • To receive your 75% discount code, STL files, and the photo album, please fill out the survey in the welcome note. This will ask for your store name / brand, worldwide location, and a few other things. This is intended to help me keep track of my Merchants as well as promote them on my own social media channels. I want to help all of you maximize your own revenue streams as a valued vendor / partner.
  • Note that the Merchant tier will have a renewing monthly license to sell all VoidRealms models, including forthcoming Kickstarter / crowd funding campaign models.

Thank you again for supporting me. I’m an independent artist, not a massive game studio or team of sculptors. MARCH previews: Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos

I am realy proud and excited to reveal the cosmic horror for March. This "Crawling Chaos" avatar of Nyarlathotep is large, over 120mm high I believe. I put a ton of work into designing and sculpting this version of my favorite Lovecraftian deity, and I'm honestly really proud of the result - I believe it is a design that is very original and fresh while still feeling familiar as a Nyarlathotep sculpt.

There are tons of details in this sculpt that elevate this monster to near "Kingdom Death" levels, and as an individual model the file will retail for probably $15-20 (of course, you Patrons get the insane value of it being bundled with the other stuff for a fraction of that price.) I'm really happy with it, and see this as a definitive turning point for the VoidRealms brand. I hope you enjoy it and are excited to download your own Crawling Chaos!

Full lineup details forthcoming this weekend, assuming I can finish up a couple smaller minions to compliment this thing.

MARCH previews: Haunter of the Dark

This avatar of Nyarlathotep emerges from a thick cloud of nightmarish mist, enveloping the "Window of the Lost" (which will also be a separate terrain piece.)

Cyclopean eye and three-lobed eye variant. About 95m tall, if I remember correctly. Straight from the HP Lovecraft story!

March Previews: Ugga Naach

The Ugga Naach is one of the offspring of Nyarlathotep - its birthing is particularly horrid :-)

This guy is about 40mm tall from base to tip of tongue-head and features an eye / mouth in the center of one hand a-la the Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth.

January Test Prints + Introducing Ben Brix!

I am thrilled to share these photos of the January lineup with you all, and to introduce Ben of Brix minis, who will now be providing the supports / test prints for all the VoidRealm Minis files! Aethertree (Q4 Loyalty Reward) + December BONUS files

Happy to say that the Q4 Loyalty Reward is finished, tested, and ready to go. Patrons who qualify were sent a DM containing a link to the sculpt.

The Aethertree is the Protector of the 4th (and final) gate. Like all of the Protector series sculpts, it comes with an "inactive" and "active" form. He was inspired by Maikel T., winner of the painting contest, and his tongue-in-cheek request for something with 100 hands and eyes. Print 50x of each little Minion, or about 9 Aethertrees, and you'll hit those numbers ;-)

All Patrons will receive the smaller "Aetherbranches" as a free bonus to the December release as well as the recently unlocked "Moon Troll!" These little guys are already uploaded to the December folder.
