I'm growing more confident in painting. This one was done in a few hours.

While I'm amazed that painting is much faster than line artwork, I shouldn't rely on it too much. I might get lazier and messier.

DEATH GRIPS

I first heard of Death Grips back in 2014 when I was a dumb 19 year old looking around Kill la Kill clips on Youtube. That was when I heard of a deep chanting rap from a man I know now as MC Ride.

About a decade later, my drawing skills had improved pretty significantly, and I wanted to try out drawing the rapper himself. My first PSD file got corrupted 💀so I had to recover from that. 😔

And now, here's my second attempt!

The Distant Cupcake

I've been itching to draw little Sayoris as dinner rolls in a baking tray. In my head, I was thinking of drawing the little ones just nestling inside the tray, one of them peeking out and the other waddling away.

Well, that was a boring execution that thankfully I wanted to change it up.

A Scene Girl Encounters a Smartphone

As a 95' baby growing up in the 2000s, it feels weird drawing this. If I were a scene kid, this would've hit me much harder. The scene/emo subculture was a big thing in that era along with Myspace, a formerly popular social media platform that scene kids took great part in. So far, digital cameras are the most used cameras in their arsenal. I have seen selfies taken by phones, but most of them are early 2010s judging by the models.
