Gaim Flash Belt Update 7/5

Woooo it's been a crazy past two days. Had my head down to beat up the Gaim flash some more. The DJ Ju has both Taiken and Sojinto modes now.

The arrow locks are back and run out of the lock slot on the weapons. Energy and movie locks are back on the weapons, and the weapon lock menu has been removed entirely. Weapon menu buttons have been upgraded to the newer-wider version.

Gaim Flash Belt Update 7/2 - EDIT

EDIT: Been working on coding it. I have the base down. So it can do the three gun modes without a lock. It was important to me that no features were lost with the upgrade so I also included the lights for the turntable. I've attached a preview flash file. Yes, it's just tossed in a barebones Double flash so it could export 1000 times faster.

July Flash Focus Results

Wow Gaim the dark horse has pulled it out. This will be quite interesting.

Like I said in the poll, this month has knocked out a nice amount of stuff.  Build got a few new bottles, Double got a weapon, Zero-One got a few progrise keys, Fourze got the Rocket Super switch & a good chunk of Cosmic done, and ZI-O got animations & full vectors for Grand/Majesty and the Ohma ZI-O Driver. I've also got the Slashriser and the Zero-Two module done.

July Flash Focus Poll

June's come and gone with a few big updates for the flash belts. Build got a few new bottles, Double got a weapon, Zero-One got a few progrise keys, Fourze got the Rocket Super switch & a good chunk of Cosmic done, and ZI-O got animations & full vectors for Grand/Majesty and the Ohma ZI-O Driver. Zero-One Flash Belt Update 6/27

Work on Zero-Two is chugging along. Man oh man do I hate see through plastic. I've been using the pdf to try and get all the details out. So the part that attaches to the side of the driver is vectored out.

Finished the prep work for the Slash Riser.

Also discovered that the Zero-One Driver has been the wrong colors this whole time :/ so I went and updated those.

Flash Belt Update Roadmap 6/24

I pulled a late night and was able to get the Ohma ZI-O Driver working. My next focus will be getting Zero Two and the Slashriser ready for when the sounds are ripped. Shouldn't be too long from now that they are so I gotta get them together.

After that I plan on trying to get Cosmic out by the end of the month. All depends on how long 02 and the Slashriser take.

ZI-O Flash Belt Update 6/23

Ohhhhh boy. So I've loaded the Ohma ZI-O Driver into flash and you can henshin, but no background is done yet. The biggest issue right now is juggling how the driver screen works. There're 5 layers at work,the top cover, a driver function screen (shows the standby logos, time break, etc), 2 ridewatch screens, and the bottom base. Normally the Ziku Driver will trigger these in sequence and I don't have to worry about it. Past me has it handled, but with a new driver it's a bit trickier.

ZI-O Flash Belt Update 6/22

I worked on the vector for the Ohma ZI-O Driver. I'll recolor this and the full driver next. Then I'll move on to coding. I plan to have the attacks for the different riders as a menu instead of cycling.

Fourze Flash Belt Update 6/16 - EDIT

Finished up the Rocket States update. Worked out a way to trigger the 5 press. This will come in handy for Cosmic's "danger" mechanic. Update will go out tomorrow. For now I gotta head off to bed.

Fourze Flash Belt Update 6/13

Been working on this guy since the ZI-O update was finished.

I've gotta figure out how to add the "danger" & "goodbye." Right now every switch auto-inserts. My plan for the 5x press was going to be the same way I do the alternate color switches now, but we'll see what I come up with for Cosmic. Right now I'm more focused on getting the vector done.

ZI-O Flash Belt Update 6/10

Finished up the vectors and image for Grand ZI-O and Geiz Majesty. I also added the projections for the two watches when they're pressed. I've made an animation for the Grand ZI-O henshin, but I need to do one for Majesty before the full release.

There's a better version of the animation that exists, but it murders your computer. I had it where the screen layer style was applied to the different rider logos as they flew by, but boy did it chug half of the time. Considering the whole poi...

ZI-O Flash Belt Update 6/8 - EDIT

Mk the vector is all done.

Have to do some recoloring though.  I need to differentiate all of the different golds. The middle dial has a shinier gold. The back middle sections edge toward bronze. Then, there's the metalic gold clocks. Finally, the two legend layers need to be different shades of see through yellow-orange.

The most complicated part of working with yellows becomes the fight for it not to just become brown. My best friend when it comes to different golds ends up...

Carbon Dating Flash Belts

Oh mannnnn.

So whenever I work on a flash out of line I usually build it off of the flash of the current year. For example Double is being built based off of Zero-One. This lets me use the newest presets and stuff I have to work on the new-old flash.

Fourze Flash Belt Update 6/5

Finished up the magnet switches. Now it's just a matter of figuring out how I wanna handle the in switch limit break. The problem is the handles on the switches moving is a sound, the visible triggers are sounds, the driver handle has a sound, and obviously switches turning on are a sound, so I gotta thing of somewhere to place the activation for the limit break since you can't see the red button on the back.

Build Flash Belt Update 6/1

Added the Buttobasoul & Ganbarizing Fullbottles. Added the Super Sentai Fullbottle to the Evol Driver. It can Evol Match with the Rider System Evolbottle. I'll swing back around later in the month to try and knock that Kamen Rider Fullbottle out. Just gonna be crazy with the 4 heads on it.

June Flash Focus Results

Last month went really well for the flash focus. Build got the Evolt monster form and Phantom Build update, ZI-O received a large amount of watches and two weapons, Zero-One got more legend rider progrisekeys, and Double's flash exists with multiple drivers working.

Build Flash Belt Update 5/31

Finished up the Ganbarizing bottle. I decided to leave out some details because the bottle will be so small in the flash. So this and the super sentai bottle are ready to be added. I don't think I ever added the Buttobasoul bottle so I'll add that as well.

Ahead of June I want to prep a bottle or two to add to the Build Flash Belt. Build placed in the top few in May and is fourth right now for June. 

ZI-O got two weapons and a bunch of watches this month and it'll receive a bunch more updates next month as well. Double will get a few updates next month as well. Double Flash Belt Update 5/28 - EDIT

ZI-O Flash Belt Update 5/27

The Zikan Zax has been added to the flash. I went through and redid the weapon ridewatches. When they were inserted they'd trigger the insert sound and regular finish time, but the Zax has its own finish time announcement.

June Flash Focus Poll

I would say May has been a great success for the flash focus. Lots got done in both ZI-O and Double. Even got to jump in and do some work on Build and Zero One. Since the test of the tiered voting was such a success I'll be doing it again this month.

Keep in mind the Heisaber and Fullbottle Buster are not likely to get done. So ZI-O votes would go toward work on Trinity, Grand ZI-O's vector, the MiraiDrivers, Ohma ZI-O Driver, and Zikan Jaclaw. Votes for Build would work toward the few ...

ZI-O Flash Belt Update 5/25 EDIT

Finished up recoloring and made the flipped version. I'll start coding tomorrow. Sadly it'll take a bit to import it into Flash because of the weird color import between Freehand and Illustrator on this computer. I've gone through with my last computer setting by setting to find a difference and there weren't any.

Kamen Rider ZI-O Update 5/24 - EDIT

Work is starting up on the next ZI-O update.

As you can see I'm starting on the Zikan Zax. Thankfully it's pretty symmetrical. That means any work I do on the top part for the bow can be transferred down to the bottom half. So less time working on the vector and coloring and such.
