Random Arma Bullshittery (part 7) - Update #5

Nearly done! Good lord this video is swallowing time like a black hole :) I worked on it this weekend as part of its QA. Two developments:

  •  I didn't like the middle structure of the video. As traditionally I try to altnerate between quick comedic moments and longer gags. But the middle was just several long gags. So I edited in 5 extra scenes to improve the flow.

Random Arma Bullshittery (part 7) - Update #4

Sorry for the later then expected update. I've made another video one, but to summarise: 9 minutes and 20 seconds finished out of 10 (though there are some extra scenes I'd like to add if possible.)

Lessons learnt last week: 

  • I'm getting much better at figuring out where motion tracking works and where it doesn't. Saving me time by jumping right into doing it manually when needed.

So this one took me just over two weeks to finish. Though there were the Christmas festivities and a bit of a sickness in the middle where breaks were taken.

Update #4 - Random Arma Bullshittery (part 6)

The video is nearly done. The Audio QA phase is now complete and it's going through it's Visual QA phase before release. 

This is where I render the video a few times looking for animation mistakes that are much easier to spot post render. Will keep working on it this weekend and have it ready as soon as I'm able.

Update #2 - Random Arma Bullshittery (part 6)

So it's the start of week 3 on the latest bullshittery and everything is going swimmingly so far. Quite a lot of frame by frame animation as before, but that's mainly because it just looks nicer so I'm tempted to do it more often. 

There's also a bit of a montage in the middle with about 25 fast cuts, so that's proving a bit of a time sink. I keep wanting to go back and swap things around.

Early Access - Space Engineers - Patch 01.108 - Exploring the planets update

Latest video is finished. The super-delayed exploration of Space Engineer's planet update 01.108 from November last year. In which Cyanide and I dropped into creative mode and tried to land on a planet for the first time.

Update #3 - Space Engineers - New Planets video

End of the second week. And the latest video is almost done. Should be available this weekend :)

 - Text and animations should be mostly done. There's a couple of smaller scenes I've left, but they won't take long.

 - Audio corrections are in progress. This is basically quality control that I can do pre-rendering. I'm adjusting the levels manually to make sure there are no parts that are too quiet or too loud. Or adding sound effects in post. That sort of thing View Post
