G: Hello guys!
Sorry for being silent - we got sick and had to call ambulance/get recovery, so now we're taking a few days off from work to be back to normal. It is sad that it happens more often than it should be, which affects our work, but health issues is one of our main problems.

But we have some things to show you anyway! And gonna show more during this month, so stay tuned!

Sketchdump: Solomonary

You surely saw these guys - we mentioned them in the game itself, as well as drew the Solomonary portraits for our Fireworshiper patrons, but even they have no clue of what these creatures are.

They are a very special kind of Tsourai, all the other details will remain secret, but you can still look into some clues and hints in their whole design/game appearance.

Flynn, promo [WIP]

L: A progress for the Flynn promo!

I refined the sketch and picked the color scheme. It’s a necessary stage when you’re drawing big pieces (which I always skip because I’m dummy) — take care of colors and a composition on early stages and you won’t need to fix it during the work. Maybe a little.

I wanted to try double exposure in this promo, probably my first experiment with it! Hope you like it~

From sketch to line; toony art for the Great Hunger lore book

G: And here is the content for the new lore-book, guys! Looking at these toony you can probably ask - how Phollie and the letter eater related to the Great Hunger? Well, I won't tell you, I don't wanna spoil the fun!
Lins drew simple sketches for me, just to catch the basic idea, but I liked them so much, I didn't change either the composition or the poses of the characters and just finished it "as is". It turned out very nice in my opinion, I really love the result.

Lore book toony; clean colors

G: The flat colors are one of my fav parts, I enjoy picking the basic stuff before going to the final shading part. I also love how opposite these two characters look yet they keep something in common.

Busy days

L: We are awfully busy, working on the Act III last days! I don’t think we will be able to finish the lore-book and promo art before the end of July - TCOL has a top-priority. We apologize for that! 🙏

Great Hunger [WIP]

L: I few sketches for Great Hunger! These are looks funny for now :D

L: Grimm came up with an idea and drew a first sketch, then I added a few detailes and tone. That was quick easy to pick a theme for Flynn, we discussed the topic briefly, found out that our ideas match and started to work.

Despite the disturbing theme, this illustration will be serene and a bit pensive. We want to emphasize it with soft light and shadows and melancholic (probably purple-blue) color scheme.

Companion portraits: Ingrid and Lazy [WIP]

L: Sketches of the two last portraits of possible companions in Act III

Trying to avoid comfortable 3/4 and exploring new racurses for sahash snout. Ingrid looks agitated and/or troubled a bit; Lazy is chilled and focused. Do you have any idea why are they reacting like this, being in your company? Will be glad to read your ideas!

Preparing for the future beta-test

🔧 Since we all have a short break from personal business, we fully returned to work on the build. Right now, Grimm and I are testing the third act from the very beginning to end for the first time, checking how the routes work, catching critical bugs. L: The lore-book voting is over, and this time the Great Hunger and the Devourers theme won! We won't deny that we're glad with this result - this theme is super interesting to talk about, and we have a lot to tell and to show you.

L: Flynn won the July TCOL promo art :D

L: Flynn beated all his competitors and won a monthly promo-art! He is not excited, though. It’s Flynn what did you expected from him? 😂
