September Gift Poll

As promised, now that I'm no longer making monthly gifts Patron only, I'm now doing a poll for you to choose what you want.

Yes, I know EA changed their stance on early access, but I'm not gonna go back and forth on it and this covers my ass if they change it again.

Unplanned HSY Mods

I mentioned it on Discord, but basically I've spent this week making myself mods to improve the clothing choices in High School Years. They're not what I usually make, but I figure I'll share them for anyone who wants them when I finish organizing them and writing up the details.

Bugfix: HSY Hanging Clothes

While working on a related mod I realized that the High School Years hanging clothes, while marked as dressers, are missing the tuning that would make them actually function. So you click on them and nothing happens.

So I figured, hey that's an easy fix that I can put out! Hopefully this is only a temporary fix until it gets patched but it should do the job for now. And when a real fix comes through I'll just discontinue this mod.

Paywalls Revisited

Alright, I've thought about it some more and after reading a bunch of Reddit posts I'm thinking better safe than sorry and I should probably make my monthly gifts public even if you can get around paying for them.

So here's my new plan:

• Monthly posts will be public from the beginning to avoid trouble with EA
• Patrons will instead get to vote on what the gift will be. I'll also gladly accept suggestions in the form of comments.

Texture Overrides: Gender Neutral Bathrooms

Just because I have to use gendered bathrooms in public doesn't mean my sims should have to! So I've replaced the signs on several of the public restrooms.

About Paywalls

I saw yesterday that EA officially disallowed paywalls for mods. Honestly, I think it's a great thing overall!

But here's what it means for my Patrons and others:

• I'll still release monthly Patron gifts that will release publicly after a month. I considered making them public from the start, but I think that having the Patron-only reminds people that they can donate to me if they choose.

"Feed Your Pets:" Water Your Plants

This functions very similarly to most of my Feed Your Pets mods so I've grouped it with them even though it's for plants and not pets. Basically it's what it sounds like. You can water your indoor plants. Children and up can water a plant and get a happy buff. Then it goes on cooldown for that sim for 20 hours (don't want to overwater your plants)

Object Recolors: Family Fridge

I don't think I've ever known anyone who didn't have at least something on their fridge, especially people with kids. So now your sims can have some magnets and kids' art on their fridge too.

This adds 4 new swatches to a basegame refrigerator, each in a different color with different art. This is not a new mesh however so the pictures and magnets are flush to the fridge (you probably won't notice if you don't zoom in real close)

July's Patron Gift

I got 90% of the way through making something and decided that I hated it. So now with two days and no ideas I'm asking you what objects or CAS items you want recolored. I'm no artist so whatever it is probably isn't going to be super flashy but I'm sure it will be cooler than the thing I started.

So patrons, leave a comment with a request and the first feasible one is what I'll make (plus I can save other good ideas for future months)

CAS Bugfix: FTM Fingernail Fixes

THIS MOD IS NO LONGER NEEDED OR SUPPORTED

EA has fixed the nails for FTM sims as well so there is no point in using this anymore.

I'm happy to see that it looks like EA has fixed most of the issues the version 1.0 of this mod fixed! So now in version 2.0 the addon has become the main mod.

Object Recolors: Kids' Lamps

There are a few BG lamps that only come in 3 colors by default. I've expanded them each to 8, designed to match other BG kids' furniture.

You can choose between an override and a standalone version of this, depending on whether you already have something overriding the objects.

New month tomorrow so new patron gift being released! I got your feedback overwhelmingly in favor of object recolors so that's what I've got queued up for you. I can't believe how many new patrons I got this month and even though I know I thanked you individually I want to thank you again here! You're all awesome!

I'm also planning on releasing a few Pride-themed downloads throughout the month for everyone. No functionality or anything, but a few little recolors to celebrate Pride.
