Chapter 7 Cover Process

It's taken me waaay too long to figure out a cover for this chapter, and I went through about 12 different sketches on what to do before ultimately deciding on a Little Red Riding hood theme.

There's still a few more steps from here, which mostly consists of coloring, but I thought I'd explain the process so far. howdy! I've been relatively quiet lately, but that's just because I've been busy working on chapter 7. I've been trying to get all (or most of) the pencils done before the last page of chapter 6 posts publicly. 

I didn't bother to edit the text out of these, so... spoilers, I guess. But you also can see how I work with these. I write all the text by hand, so I have to place that first. The dotted lines on the edges are actually a blue line, so when I scan this in color I can easily...

The colors that I picked for the cave I learned from the chapter 6 cave scenes, as it might be obvious here. Of course, I went with a more green tint, since the whole theme is "emeralds" for this chapter, but the concept is the same. For the cave scenes I've completely altered the base colors to give a stronger color story, since just doing an overlay might look muddy.

Chapter 6 Interlude - Part 1

One thing that was mentioned in a few comments was wanting to see the conversation "later" between Nikki and Aidan, so I decided to actually write that out. And, y'know, it might actually answer a few questions for some readers. :)
