December Status Report

I've not had that much free time this month, but I've been focusing on fixing bugs and improving performance.

If you run chrome and hit ctrl+shift+j, you might see warnings like timer took 100ms to complete. These are performance warnings and I've been working on eliminating them. I know waiting for an update is torture, but you know what else is torture?

Torture devices are torture! 

I realised there was a distinct lack of torture devices. And in a dungeon crawler called FetishQuest, that's inexcusable. So I spent all day today coming up with some interesting devices to put into the game.

Here's what I made today:

Good to haves

I'm still mostly working on the new ability unlocks and new world areas (I have a couple of places planned). In the mean time there are some ideas I have been toying with to add nice things to have while developing. And decided to implement them. Here's what I'm adding:

More abilities

Since the last update I have been working on actually implementing the new abilities for each class. Here's a revised version of the last post:

Warrior

  • Masochism: Restores 10% of your max HP and adds 1 arousal. Counts as a damaging effect.

Suggest some interesting actions!


I'm working on new actions and spells for FQ right now, since the next update will have . I thought why not get the community involved?

Here's my plans for unlocking spells and such:

  • Each character has 6 spell slots. (Not counting attack, arouse, and items)
  • The first 3 spell slots and spells are automatically unlocked as you level up to level 3.

FetishQuest Changelog - Portswood Isle (a1)

FQ Minor beta update

  • Fixed a bug incorrectly showing cooldown as cast time for multi turn casts
  • Fixed some doors giving an error message when interacted with
  • Tentatug should now only target equipped slots
  • More texts will now take armor damage into consideration when triggering

Beta Update

No password change this time. This update only affects the beta, not live.

Changes:

  • Update to NPC chats system, adding NPC chats to some NPCs.
  • New NPC in Yuug Port who will accost players with tits upon entry (only works for the main character).

FetishQuest June Changelog

New update. The previous beta branch has been moved to the live branch. I suggest clearing your cache and starting a new game. This update includes the first hand made quest.

The update after this one will only be to the beta branch, since I'm not done with what I intended on adding to the next live update yet. I'm planning 1 more quest, a secret boss, and  Here's what's new on the beta branch:

Soon™ (Status report)

I'm currently finishing up the first rendition of a shop, which is the only major feature left before the next beta update. If I don't run into any major issues while playtesting the netcode, it should be out some time next week at the latest.

I'm also working on a revamp commission for GoThongs, so stay tuned for that.

FetishQuest Status Report

The image attached to this post is the new art for the otter player-character. It comes with all 4 clothing states (Dressed,  upperbody, lowerbody, naked).

Cocktopus implemented

Today I implemented the cocktopus. It took a while since I had to write A LOT of code to do everything I wanted.

First off, here are its abilities:

  • Leg Wrap - Stock tentacle ability, trips a player.
  • Tentatug - Stock tentacle ability, damages or pulls off armor.

FQ Status Report

Last week I made a bunch of cave meshes, and implemented new water rendering for some indoor scenes.

This week I've been making (with the help of Kitaro) outdoor meshes. This means I'll be done meshing out the first dungeon this week, and can script it next week. It's probably gonna take some time since I'm developing the editor tools as I go.

I'll have more updates next week, and hopefully something available for beta testing within the coming 2 weeks.

Quick FetishQuest Status Report

I've spent this week working on meshes. Pic related is a tavern for FetishQuest. I'll likely be spending a lot of this month working on models. When I made Fright, I spent 2 weeks straight just making mesh props. It's grueling grunt work, but it has to be done. Next I need to make some beach areas, more sections of the port, and a port authority office done before I can build the first quest. So that's what I'll be doing for now. FQ Patch Notes

FetishQuest stable has been updated. You probably won't notice a lot of the changes, as most of them are under the hood.

  • Added dungeon, encounter, and player editor to dev tools. These haven't been tested yet in production, so please report all bugs you encounter.
  • Improved the netcode, desync should be greatly reduced.
