Hey y’all! We wrapped up the resin river swing this afternoon. Will be editing the video over the course of the next week or so but wanted to give you a sneak peek as always.
We’re thinking about using this image for the thumbnail. Whatcha think? 🤔

Hey y’all! The top coat came out almost perfect! 🤩 Considering it’s our first time doing this, we couldn’t be happier.
Jaimie just finished braiding the rope in and I couldn’t resist sharing it with ya. Next, we’re headed outdoors to hang it.
How’s everyone’s Saturday going?

This is going to be an outdoor “river swing” so we sealed the entire thing in epoxy to help with being outdoors.
This is the top after sealing with the clear epoxy. 😁 Not bad, eh? It’s still wet in this picture. Will post again tomorrow when it dries.
We’re not great with this medium but getting better each time! That’s what it’s all about. 👊🏼👊🏼

The river pour started off GREAT but unfortunately it was far too hot in our shop (92F) and the epoxy overheated like crazy. As it began to cure it started smoking and we had to put fans on it to keep it from expanding way out of the river.
Now, instead of a nice, smooth top, we have a bubbly mess that looks more like the surface of a tar pit.
We should have known it was too hot and done layers instead of all of it at once. Sigh. Live and learn. (Hopefully...)
But, we’ll...

Hey y’all! We’re all set up for a resin pour tonight on this beautiful piece of live-edge ambrosia maple for this week’s project. Not sure what color pigment we’re going to use yet though, probably a teal blue of some kind...
Can’t wait to see what the grain on this maple looks like once it gets some finish on it. 🤩

Our Wicked clan has grown by one! 😁 Aurelia was born happy and healthy on June 1st. We’ve been taking it easy and living the newborn life for the past two weeks. Not much sleep but enjoying every minute. Cullen is super happy to have a little sister.
We just wanted to pop in and let y’all know how things went. Jaimie is feeling great and excited to be able to move around again and get back in the shop. We’re already back working on some new stuff when we can sneak in a few minu...

Phew, what a month! On June 1st, our daughter was born happy and healthy so we've spent the last couple of weeks enjoying that while trying to get some sleep here and there.
We actually finished this project back in mid-May but we weren't able to get the video put together before the 1st so it had to wait a bit. :)
We hope y'all enjoy this one! It was a lot of fun to make and quite a challenge to try to figure out how to compress such a big project into a reasonably sized vi...

Hello favorite people! Twice in a row now we have managed to finish and upload a video more than 30 seconds before we release it. Does that mean we're getting better at this?! Not sure about that...but one thing it definitely means is that you get to watch it before everybody else! :)
Thank you for your continued support and we really hope you enjoy our latest workshop...table...bench...desk...thing!

Jaimie is due on June 1st. :) Exciting, right? We're trying to get a few projects done before the big day since it'll obviously be hard once the kiddo has arrived.
Here are a few projects we're looking at doing over the next couple of months, any strong opinions? Thoughts? Would love to hear from y'all.

Hey, y'all! We hope you're staying healthy, safe, and sane through these incredibly strange times. Like all of you, we're stuck at home so we figured we'd make the best of it and build something we can use to spend the time wisely.
We'd love any feedback you have on the video and particularly on the thumbnail. Enjoy!

Hey all-
We're putting the finishing touches on our latest project/video this week and wanted to give y'all a first look at the finished thing.
Our son Cullen needed a new bed and Jaimie wanted to make a Montessori Floor Bed. But, because we can't help ourselves....we decided to go nuts and make a crazy themed version.
When Jaimie was at Dreamworks she worked quite a bit on the How to Train Your Dragon trilogy and we had some art books that inspired us to make one in the style...

Have you ever wondered how incredibly awesome and fun it would be to have a skateboarding half-pipe in your backyard? Have you then wondered how hard (or easy) it might be to make it? How about how much it would cost? Well, we figured all of that out for you. :)

With the Halloween season come and gone, we're trying our hands at some DIY Christmas decorations! Sort of… :)
One of our favorite films is Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas" which is a perfect blend of spooky Halloween and Christmas spirit.
We've never done Christmas stuff before so we're easing in, haha. Let us know what you think!

Hey Fam! Here's a short video for you. Thanks largely to your support, we've just upgraded to a new camera, specifically to help us make more videos! A while ago, we identified a few key things that we felt were most important in helping us get more content out and one of the biggest ones was upgrading to a camera that is meant for this type of work.
Our previous little "point and shoot" camera did an amazing job considering it was never meant to do this kind of stuff, but it constantly...

We've had a lot of success this season with Halloween videos and our channel has grown a lot. We LOVE Halloween projects (obviously) but in the past, we haven't done them year-round. We have some really cool ideas coming up for the Christmas season but we also enjoy building all sorts of other things like furniture, gaming projects, and things that inspire us creatively that sometimes have nothing to do with holiday decor/props. So, question for you:
Would you watch videos that ar...

In this week’s video, Jaimie and Jay create an incredibly awesome bubbling witch's cauldron with glowing coals for their Halloween decor!
This is definitely one of the coolest props we’ve ever made. 😄 There’s a lot of components but they’re all relatively easy to repeat if you want to make one yourself.🤘🏼🎃

Jaimie and Jay create an incredibly easy and realistic fake fire effect for Halloween based on the flaming windows in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland!
I’m addition to the How-To, there’s a full interview with our local fire department because...that was definitely going to happen. 😄

We've never done an after show before. Are we doing this right?! :)
We wanted a venue to connect with you all as supporters and provide some Behind-the-Scenes stuff for each project. We're going to try to do this for every video project.
In this one, we discuss the build and talk about some of the mistakes that don't make it into the final cut, we answer some comments from YouTube, and we talk about how in this video we showed a lot more of the "journey" versus just the dest...

It's finally October…the best time of the year!! As you know, we make lots of props, decorations, and awesome stuff this time of year and our new skeleton gravecrawler halloween prop is the newest thing we've added to our Halloween decor.
These are definitely easy to make. You can absolutely follow along at home and make this with some basic materials. If you're looking for a fun weekend project to upgrade your Halloween decorations, this DIY project is perfect.

With Halloween around the corner, we've got orange and black on the brain so we wanted to take on a DIY resin art project using Halloween colors! We recently got this magnetic knife holder as a gift and thought it would be a great opportunity to dial up the awesome with some beautiful purpleheart wood and some epoxy resin.
We used black and orange pigments and turned a basic metal knife bar into a majestic Halloween nebula of awesomeness!
We're currently working on an Aftershow fo...

Heeeeeeey, another video. :) We're on a ROLL!
In this week's project, we turn a basic plastic jack-o-lantern into this awesome Scarecrow. We show you how to use some super simple painting techniques to turn a regular plastic toy jack-o-lantern into a next level prop as well as how to use old reclaimed wood to make a great looking skeletal body for your scarecrow.
How're your Halloween projects coming along?

So, I’m editing this Steam Bending video and had to relive this moment where, for reasons, I tried to use a plastic dust collection hose to get 212°F steam from the thing to the other thing. Spoiler alert: that doesn’t work. I am not a smart man. 😂
This picture is of the steam instantly melting the hose about one second after we turned on the steamer.
We fixed it and it eventually got it to work pretty well, but not without our typical fumbles. That’s every proj...

Guys, we actually managed to release a video three weeks in a row. I believe that is a new record. :D
As usual we had a lot of fun making this project and hope you enjoy the video. We tried hard to focus this one on something you could easily repeat at home with some basic materials.
If you make a set of these, we'd love to see them so send some pictures!

We’re wrapping up the video tonight for the Skull Candle Holder project and it’s been a really fun one to edit. As usual, we kind of made things up as we went along and ended up with some insanely cool results. Jaimie has a knack for taking a relatively simple concept and elevating it to something really nice...and that’s exactly what she’s done yet again with these.
For Jaimie, Halloween is the time of year when her most creative side comes out and she gets to act on all of the...

Alongside our steam bending experiments (which take lots of hours of just waiting around) we decided this week to tackle a small project we’ve been thinking about for awhile. We’re using plastic skulls from Target, giving them a realistic makeover, and then turning them into some AWESOME candle...holder...things. Skull candles? Skull Candle bases? Not sure what to call them yet...anyway, so far they’re coming out amazing! Halloween is the best. 😄
Sometimes we make some pretty w...

It's brand new and a bit empty right now, but swing on over and say hello! It should be a really nice place to ask questions and chat about projects. More to come!

We delved into a new area of making this past weekend and it was a lot of fun: steam bending!
There’s a project coming up where we’re going to be making a super nice scarecrow from reclaimed wood. We want to give it some crooked and creepy wooden ribs and arms and we thought this could be a great time to start experimenting with bending wood with steam.
Steam bending works by putting a piece of wood into a steam chamber and filling it with steam, letting it soak for a while, ...

We made another awesome thing! We've been 3D printing these dungeon tiles for awhile now and we made a video to demystify the process and show you how easy it actually is.
Don't have a 3D printer? Check your local library or maker space! It's easy these days to get these things made. You can even order them online if you don't want to make them yourself.
Hopefully you will though, because, you know. (That's the best part.)

Hey awesome people! Took this great picture tonight while finishing up some shots for this week’s video and wanted to share it with y’all. 😃
This week’s video is about how to 3D print and paint dungeon tiles for table top games like Dungeons and Dragons so you can create scenes like this one to enhance your games.
It’s fun stuff! Really excited for the next few months. We’ve got some great videos on the way.
As always, thanks for your support and stay wicked!
