I'm home! Argh! It's been a very very long and busy couple of months. Both work wise and studying wise.

I didn't expect my studies to be quite so intensive. The whole point of the course originally was to be a dedicated Icelandic one. Turns out it was a very comprehensive, BHS 3 level coach type one. I had pretty much no time for myself, everything went towards either studying or working.

But that does mean I got a lot of Scarlet pages done! I thought these might be interesting. I...

Off to snow and ice

Provided the boat goes.. This Sunday is the day when I head off to Finland for a bit over a month. I'm going to continue working from there but large portion of the focus will be on studying. Hopefully everything with the journey goes smoothly. ;-;

Happy Holidays

Happy holidays everyone! I've been stuck off the island, quite literally. Shetland got cut off as we were heading home from the festivities. I've finally returned though, with a rather bad cold.

Pretty big news! Got something exciting to share with y'all.

Those who are familiar with ye olde webcomics, might recognise the title Sandra & Woo. I've quietly started working with Oliver, the author of the aforementioned title, on a webcomic called Scarlet. I can't say much about it yet, but it's going to be really cool. ♥

Once I have and can share more, I absolutely will.

I'm hoping I can put up a whole bunch of insider looks into the comic here once we have more to...

I told myself I'd never use WebToons for any of the IPs I actually care about. And that still stands (so no Tistow or Jaro, that's a big no no).

There's an equestrian Facebook group that I occasionally follow and I came across ..something. That's where this comic originates from.

I have no attachment to these characters/IP right now so I'm not too convinced I'll continue this. But I had to throw it out there. I like Juni as a concept. He's a horse.

Ink practice

Love this boy. Still trying to work out how to best use this brush. It's very subtle but the sketchiness makes me feel a bit more free. However, faces are still something I'm contemplating on using the finer brush for. Though, the finer one still most definitely makes me fiddle around too much with detail..

Iron bear

This guy is kinda special.

Iron bears are giant bear-wolf-like hybrids that habit the woodlands of Fjoldi and Tael. They're evidently dangerous, but have a fear of sheep and shepherds that follow them. Namely the bells that they wear...

New brush

Not sure how visible this is, but I made a new brush for inking! It works more or less the same way as my old one, but it's got a fair bit more variables added to the texture and opacity.

I'm not going to redo the existing pages that I've worked on, but any future ones will be done with this. I really like it so far. I've been trying to create something that'd mimic a traditional ink brush bett...
