A forest-flying Corythopterus, probably life-sized, ready for scanning and screentoning.

I have been collaborating with a leading local Youtube channel for a series of videos where I explore Istanbul's historic neighbourhoods, encounter and explain weird details, and then draw improvised artwork based on the things I have seen.

Here are sneak previews of unnamed creatures that inhabit the far-northern Lakeland subcontinent on Snaiad. Despite looking extremely different, they belong to the same species.
The females have big, spacious first-head mouths which they use to shelter their young well into their development. They have comparatively few children, and take good care of them.
What should we call these guys?

Here is an experimental piece - painted on a piece of bark. I wanted to capture the sensibility of a pterosaur - perhaps something like Sericipterus - without using direct anatomical references - "the spirit of the thing" if you will.

I make dozens of such sketches every week - watercolour and charcoal outlines on cheap newsprint. Not sure if they are "complete" works or just glorified sketches, but I like them a lot... I called this one "Major Imperfection".
