Not all Snaiad animals are lumbering giants, or violating monsters. Here's my study of one of the thousands of species of nocturnal "ground-scoopers", innocuous creatures that venture out at night to feed on morsels that litter forest floors or sprogland. Some cold-climate species are also covered in a cute layer of downy fur.

Here is a spread from "Galaxy Guide" - a spec-evo sketchbook I kept between 1999 and 2002.
Prominent here is the "Vaduz", which later became the template for the "Insectophagi" and the "Bug Eater" illustrations from All Tomorrows - but in my personal opinion was much better than either.
