The mod was actually less affected by the game patch than I thought in my initial assessment, but here it is updated for the changes anyway. This new mod update should still be compatible with earlier game versions.
Meaningful Stories for The Sims 4 is updated to v1.2.2.0 to be compatible with the latest game version 1.58.63. You will now be able to load your saves with an up-to-date game and the mod installed, and all features should be functional.
The mod is now unlikely to be compatible with game versions earlier than 1.58.63.

The game patch today for The Sims 4 prepared the game for the next expansion pack, and fixed a long list of bugs.
It also changed a few basic things behind the scenes that affect a lot of the custom tunings used in gameplay mods. I recommend that you uninstall any mods that have not been updated or confirmed as compatible with the new patch.
Meaningful Stories is updated with a bugfix to handle some new file formatting introduced in the latest game patch. Thank you to the players who reported this and helped test the fix.

Meaningful Stories is updated today to 1.2.0.0 to catch up the True Happiness feature with recent expansions and packs.
I've also recently been looking at some Maxis bugs, some from the new pack and some that have been around for a while, that I may be able to create fixes for. Look out for more posts on that sometime soon!
