Restitched: From The Vault - Lethal Types

Earlier in development, we asked concept artist Ari to design a sheet of various hazard material types. These were based on the team's ideas and brainstorming discussions.

Some of these hazards would share the same properties and effects on the player but with slightly different visuals, death styles, damage, etc.

Some of these are still making their way into the game (or already have)!

Dev Video: Using the "Grouping Tool"

We're sharing a simple and short video demonstrating the Grouping Tool in Restitched. This is a super handy feature that lets you link any two objects together in a scene - regardless of whether or not they're touching.

The grouped selection takes on the properties of what it contains. For example: if something is Static and grouped with something Dynamic, the entire group will be Static.

Back in mid-late 2022, we were playing around with ideas for enhancing Stuffy's moveset even further! We'd already introduced climbing, crawling, and slashing. So, what else could we add that would be fun in gameplay?

Restitched: From The Vault | Story Corkboards

Back in 2020-2021, we were exploring what the game's story selection UI would be like. Is it purely graphics-based like normal menus, or is it physically in the world with models... perhaps an in-between?

In these concepts by 2D Artist Carter, a corkboard is shown with sticky note icons and Stamps (previously called "Decals"). The idea is that each world of the story would be decorated like a planning board, with every theme having its own style and colors.
