Dev Log Update -- 02 Dec 2022

Good Mornevening,

Since the last update, I've focused on writing and have written 2/3 hangout scenes for the day. This brings us to 7000+ words and very near half of the intended wordcount. Unfortunately, according to my outline for Day 2, we haven't reached the midpoint yet. Depending on how long the next scenes are, we may be looking at a 20k final worcount, but at this point it's just speculation.

Dev Log Update -- 25 Nov 2022

Good [applicable time of day],

Since the last update, I've done a bit of writing, but not a lot. I usually reserve writing, design, UI work, and coding for the weekends as those require a bit more brainpower than I'm capable of outputting after 8 hours at the job.

The development for Day 2 starts tomorrow, but I still wanted to show a glimpse of what's to come. This isn't a render that will be used in the game, it's something I made as a test, but I thought it might still be something cool to see. It's a character you've caught a glimpse of during Day 1 who you'll get to know more intimately in Day 2.

Dev Log Update -- 20 Nov 2022

This is the first Update on the progress of the game.


While polishing and finishing up to prepare for the initial release, I've been writing the story for the next day. I aim for around 15000 words for each day released, but that's more of a guideline. The first release had 18000 words of text.

Future gameplay elements

I started the design for this game with 3 main elements in mind: branching narrative, investigation sequences, and action sequences. I'd like to elaborate on these for a bit.

The branching narrative part includes the main story with all of its choices, skill checks, earning skill experience, and smex. This is the base of the game and its glue, what supports the other sequences.

An elaboration on rewards

I feel like I need to elaborate a bit on some of the rewards, namely having your name in the credits and render requests.

These both need to be non-offensive.

I won't put up a list of offensive situations or names as I'm sure you can use your own discretion to judge whether something is offensive or not.

On the other hand, I do encourage meme requests.
