You may saw this when you stop an onlgoing animation, we call this effect a smear.
There is an example with two type of this effect:
The straigh line, it gives a smoother effect for the transition, also is mostly used for many parts moving at the same time (like parts of the body, parts of a background), create a speed effect that also works fine if the element you want to animate moving is at full speed.
The separated line, gives more element and graphic to the transiti...

This is like my BIGGEST Dream andwithout you I would never be able to reach such a high dream! I want to thank you all for your support and love, I'm so glad that you like my work and always support and enjoy it.
Hello everybody, this is a remake of an old animation made on my DSi, I did it again on my PC with TVPaint, corrected the tail and shape to maintain the whole design (that changed a bit on the DSi one, mostly the ears).
This month was quite hard for me to update my Patreon, that's why it felt a bit empty there this month (had to travel a lot and search for more tutorials to share with you, internet troubles that couldn't help to stream ...)
so I will put as much tutos as I can for the ne...

An animation I made using the rythm of the "clap cat" song
Making little gifs with songs helps for the timing! https://twitter.com/Kekeflipnote/status/872942410468397057
Streaming sessions of this will come :) (using a song to bring an idea from it)

All the steps I made to build my animation :)
All is hand drawn too!
Work on timing and tempo with a song.
Sketching first helps for proportions, have fun with the lines and then focus
When the shape is good it's easier to advance (example with all of the little furr overlaping)
The step with the leg being colored was the color test step, when I was fine with it then I did the whole body!

Hello everybody :)
Few days ago I animated this wolf whistling on my 3DS for a LGBTQ+ project I made with friends to talk about it to children.
There I did the one of the wolves I designed and building it step by step on TVPaint, I was streaming it but many may miss it, since it's a 4 hours one too, you can see the steps other here more easily too :)
I already made many steps by steps in the past, you can find them easily throught my Patreon page, just remember to always begin (mos...

Hello everyone, an important message there I want to put.
Animating take a lot of time for me (also making tutorials, or even finding the ideas of what I shall do as tutorials) and I don't share that much on a month there for you to learn because being able to teach you animation is the best I can do and teaching should be free for everyone especially animation since it often cost an arm to learn "haha!"
So I wanted to thank all of you for supporting me there and I will always be gratefu...

Hello everyone :)
This is an example of breakdown, what is it?
A breakdown is when you use two key poses, and that what you can see between two key poses, for an action you can make many possibilities!
There I used two key poses, one fro the beginning and one for the ending, and then I got the choice to draw anything I wanted between them. This is the result.
When you try this exercice it's always good to let in the light the two main key poses (or more...

Hello everybody, something interesting and kind of new for myself, animating the mouth with the teeth inside of it! Making illustrations do follow this rule too but when it comes to animate you can find many surprises and you can be fooled and lost pretty fast, so there is something simple and easy to do.
When you drew your face (a facial key pose for exemple) draw also the inside of it, by transparency; so you have a main base, and use it for all the other frames you will do (to help you can ...

Hello :)
So this is the video I made to show my steps to build this character.
I used TVPaint to make this one, there I began to draw the body that lead to all of the rest, the tempo, the rythme I put there will allow me to animate the rest linked to what settings I put first on the body.
Then All the other details follow (the steps are not a rule, you can place the feets before the head if you want, it will lead you to the same result) but do everything in di...

To make an effective walk cycle always think of this:
The body going up and down: remember that walking is pushing our body forward and the leg come up to catch it from falling, depends of the way your character is walking, you can exaggerate the motion and effect.
The arms: in general try to catch a zone where the arms can balance and keep it the most than you can, it will giv a natural feel and also pleasant effect for the eyes.
The shape of the walking cycle: all depends of you ...

Many of you asked me about how I made my squash and stretch effects since I do use them A LOT !!!
There are many exemples that helps to focus on them while animating. The first of them is when you want to use one during an ongoing action, it's pretty simple. you just have to begin the action with some frames before beginning to make the frame with the stretch effect (Point A) and then put the effect zone (in general this effect is not that big if it's on an ongoing action, but since it's an ex...

Hello everyone, I made these animated cycle some times ago but without much explanations on them, now I can put some to help you to see how a cycle can work and many ways you can put to make it works better.
First, in general when you make a cycle, chose a multiple number of 2 (2, 4, 6, 12, 24, 40 etc ...) to make a perfect step to step walk (3, 7, 19; 23 etc numbers are for a different type of walk, for exemple a character who limp).
Then separate this number in 2 and...
