We've had the first snowfall of the year today! Winter is almost here. Meanwhile, work on Summer Heat continues. Plenty of posing, some outfit testing for a future scene, working on some custom textures and painting normal maps.
We strive to have a natural progression when it comes to clothing and outfits, little changes here and there depending on the situation and time. And we've built quite a wardrobe by now so it is getting easier and easier to mix the cloth...

This week was mostly spent posing, scripting and working on new renders. There are a couple of big scenes in the 0.7 update and planning the screenplay for them does leave us feeling a bit intimidated. What if it's bad? What if you don't like it? That's always on our mind when creating content and it hasn't gotten any easier with time. However, we have gotten a lot more forgiving when it comes to little problems and perfectionism.

This week went by pretty fast! We worked on some scripting, Freeplay segments and props. We were unhappy with a small sequence of renders, mainly thanks to a low quality prop we had that stood out a bit too much and was in the focus, so we made our own. A spray bottle. We made a spray bottle. And it will spray... water. Absolutely necessary!
We also worked on some other props and a UI for a camera. You might notice that it's not Player's camera this time around....

New week, new scene. This week we've been working on a scene with some returning characters who have been absent for a while. It's always nice to have some variety when working.

We continued working on our custom props this week. We also finished an outfit for Cassandra, something casual that also fits her very well. This week we began the production of 0.7. We have our new rig up and running and so far there haven't been any issues! We made a couple of test renders of the girls and all of them were well behaved without quality inconsistencies. This week we have some good news and some bad news.
Let's start with the good news. This cycle we've had to learn how to work around some annoying issues. Next cycle, we'll have our new creation rig up and running to feed the rendering beast. Another week of nitpicking is behind us! We finished the animations which means all the planned renders and animations are done for now. We've also been going over lots of little issues and changes. As the last batch of renders comes out of the queue, some problems are cropping up again.

Hello, everyone!
This week we've mostly been waiting for renders and animation frames to come out of the oven. We did some fixes here and there on the freshly baked renders, but nothing wild. A couple of animation edits remain, especially on a kissing animation. We got two of them in 0.6 and one of them has been hard to get right. Instead of making the animation loop, we'll try a non-looping version this weekend and see if that does the trick.

The last scenes proved to be a proper headache to work with in many ways, but we're glad they're almost over now. We won't have to bash our heads against them anymore... at least for a while.
