This week we've been clearing a bunch of coding tasks that have been sitting in the game scripts. We've also been working with Eve and some of the extra art in her scene. We worked on this scene before in the very beginning of the dev cycle because there's a certain way we want to deliver it, and now it's finally coming alive with renders. This week we refit some clothes, restructured a lot of renders for better flow and edited a ton of dialogue. We took a deep dive into the one of the scenes that needed a proper rework and managed to get through it while keeping the renders too.

This week we worked on a group scene with the girls and paved the way for the last remaining scenes to be posed. We also made the last purchases we need for the building of a new scene creation/posing rig. We'll be assembling it for 0.7 and hope it will boost our workflow.
Our previous rendering rig build has been great, and after the initial troubleshooting it's been very reliable. We saw some great improvements in performance and loading times...

This week consisted mostly of coding, SFX and creating new renders. There are a couple of scenes in this update that we're especially happy with how they turned out. Visually, they feel like a big change from the previous day and the early game content in general.

This week we continued scripting one of the last scenes, working on the dialogue and simply trying to make the scene better. We stopped working on it previously because it didn't feel quite right, but after a short break and some renewed attention it's looking much better. There are still a couple of scenes where we'd like to work on the dialogue, and maybe even add some more content, but we'll see. This time we haven't cut any scenes at least!

Last weekend we did some editing and proofreading, resulting in a fresh batch of fixes and a couple of re-renders for the future. We also continued working on a scene that's one of the largest environments we've ever made. Very laggy too with several characters! This week's posing went so-so... There's a certain scene in 0.6 that requires a lot of additional work in post, mostly time spent fixing clothing issues. Clothing simulations don't always work the way we want them to, but after a couple of attempts they usually start behaving. This week we focused on fixing some renders and making little improvements in the scenes. Nothing huge, but there's always something. There's rarely clothing poke-throughs anymore, which is great. That leaves us with more time to create morphs and details for the girls, enhancing those busty (and not-so-busty) fits even more!

This week summed up: LOTS of posing. Having many characters in a single scene is a lot of fun, but moving them all can be a proper chore. We've gotten better at cutting corners sometimes, which is great for saving time with posing and rendering, but it often has the downside of making some renders feel just a bit off. We then pose them again, which results in even more time being spent, but the end result is always worth it. Win some, lose some... But...

This week's status update unfortunately won't be very interesting as we've mostly been doing grunt work. We went through hundreds of renders to fix mistakes and do touch-ups in areas that needed it. Basically minor fixes here and there in the renders and script to smoothen out anything that stands out. We try to minimize them as much as possible, but a couple pesky render mistakes always slip through!

This week our focus was on animations, scripting, SFX and music. Picking music for scenes can be unbelievably hard sometimes, but we're slowly expanding our music selection and sound library to make it easier. Some earlier scenes could also benefit from more music (and SFX) but that's something we'll focus on at a later date.
