Hey all,
Here's another clip, this time featuring the newly restored FW190 A-8 at Berlin Gatow. The final video will show some additional information on the actual objects you see.
[Quick correction, the cable you see leads to the gear, not the control surfaces. The Fw190 cables run slightly further 'back', before looping back towards the flaps and ailerons about midway up the wing.]
Hope you enjoy and let me know if these quick tours are somet...

Hey all,
Here is a scene we filmed in Berlin Gatow yesterday on the MiG-15 (here: UTI). It's a quick walkaround going over the main elements of a pre-flight check (missing atm is the check of the landing light and flare dispenser, those are extra scenes) on the aircraft.
Let me know what you think.

Hey all,
As I am gearing up for a big video on the Battle of Midway, Justin and I sat down to talk about the upcoming Battle of Midway movie and we had a closer look at the trailer. The episode will drop tomorrow. While I am well aware of Roland Emmerich's track record and some aspects in the trailer look suspicious, there are also some things that actually look surprisingly accurate.
Remember that currently two more Early Access videos are ...

Hey all,
Here is your Early Access to an interview I recently conducted with James Halstead (M.A.). The subject was part of James' M.A. Dissertation at the War Studies Department at King's College London and revolves around the RFC/RAF actions in Palestine around 1917-1918. This is a seldom trodden topic and as such quite interesting to hear how Combined Arms worked under Sir Allenby during the battles of Third Gaza and Megiddo.
Hope you enjoy and fe...

Hey all,
Here is your Early Acces to the next 'Inside-The-Cockpit' featuring the Italian Fiat G.91R.
Designed in the 1950s, this aircraft provided an answer to the call for a universal light attack aircraft, slotted for use in all major NATO countries. Of course, things turn out way different.
Hope you enjoy and please let me know what you think!

Hey all,
Here is your Early Access to Thursdays episode. This one comes courtesy of MHV and is an interview with German Military Historian Dr. Roman Töppel on the air battle during the 'Battle of Kursk'.
Hope you enjoy and as always, let me know what you think!

Hey all,
As I am getting ready to set up the next few months of Inside-The-Cockpit content, I thought it might be interesting for you all to have a bit of a tour of the Militärhistorisches Museum Berlin-Gatow, featuring a fantastic seleciton of NATO and Warsaw Pact equipment. Due to filming, I also got access to Hanger 7 which has not been open to the public for years, with some additional goodies shown there!
This tour will -eventually- also be released on...

Hey all,
Together with Military History Visualized, I am launching a Crowdfunding of the translated version of a Germany Army Panzer regulation. The publication includes a ton of extra information, went through an editorial process and was made in collaboration with Major Nicholas 'The Chieftain' Moran (US Army Armor Branch) and Dr. Roman Töppel (German Military Historian and Eastern Front expert).
For more information, s...

Hey all,
Since the last Q&A was just posted, if you have questions for the next one, you can leave them here already.
Quick update on upcoming sponsorships. I will be in the Netherlands on a last minute collab with World of Warships,so a video of that will come out soon. WG sponsors the trip (logistics ) but this is unpaid otherwise. Another sponsorship will be of a VPN provider. As I do some travelling for my Inside-The-Cockpit series, I also use their service and believe i...
Hey all,
Here are the responses to your submitted questions. Since MHV and me happened to somehow, completely by accident, ended up in the same place at the same time, I asked him whether he wanted to join in. So, there's that.

Hello from Berlin!
As you might know from the last update, I am currently on the road in Germany filming from WW2 and Cold War classics. In Schleissheim near Munich, I filmed the Bf 109 and Me 262. This was quite challenging due to the surprisingly noisy surrounding so I hope the final product does the planes justice. I learned a lot about the 262 in particular, being able to poke my head everywhere it fit, so I want to make a short dedicated video on t...

I'm excited. Thank you very much for your support, y...

Hey all,
Little update here from my Wednesday adventure filming the Avro Vulcan and Phantom II. We filmed these once again at the RAF Museum in Hendon (London).
The Vulcan proved to be quite a time sink (5 crew positions, 'nuff said) and challenging. The inside filming, apart from taking close to 3 hours (incl. setup and museum briefing), was quite something. You'll see once the video comes out that the arrangement and the way the crew space is setup is quit...

Hey all,
First of all, if possible, I'd like to ask all of you when this video comes out on Thrusday this week (29th) to share it as much as possible over the coming days. Sadly YouTube has manually reviewed it and limited ads on it, which means it will most likely have low views. As this is a sponsored video, this will reflect poorly on me and might complicate things with the sponsor. Sharing the video in several place...

Hey all,
A little update on the next 'Inside-The-Cockpit schedule. As mentioned previously, I have quite a few dates coming up where I will be filming on.
Next week, I will be taking and outside-inside look at the Avro Vulcan and the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. The week after that, I'll be back in Germany filming anoter two videos in Munich (more to be revealed soon) and then in Berlin filming another string of episodes.

Hey all,
Here is your early access to the next video, detailing an internal discussion of the Luftwaffe on their 1941/42 Winter operations on the Eastern Front. While many discussions revolve around clothing, sortie numbers and victory claims, the actual hurdles and challenges the Luftwaffe had to overcome to actually get their planes in the sky is often overlooked. Hopefully this video will give a good insight into such themes.
Also, this video i...

Hey all,
As you know, the Switzerland tip was a success in the form that I have eight new Inside the Cockpits lined up. Up top is a little clip how we got the French (Swiss built) M.S. 406 (Swiss: D-3801) out of its hangar.
But that is not all. End of the month, I will be filming at the RAF Museum (Date to be confirmed by them), beginning of September I will be visiting one of the biggest aircraft collections in Germany and later that month,...

Hey all,
Just a quick message to let you know that my Switzerland trip has been successfully completed.
Yesterday, I set out to film at the Payerne Clin D'Ailes museum focusing on the Mirage III, F-5E Tiger II and D. H. Vampire. Turned out we got through it so well that I also managed to do the Hawker Hunter! Today all BRoll was filmed and that is me done with 8 new episodes including those from the past days!
I recorded a small tour of the museum tour th...
