pic suggestions

so this year is one i'd like to be defined by doing more non-moon pics! unfortunately i am old and kinda out of touch when it comes to characters people like! i know i've done gloria once (and started a second pic!) but what other characters should i draw? i just did that rivet pic and am working on a diane foxington one but any other suggestions very much appreciated!

also doodles will be released today! couple i gotta catch up on as per but if someone hasn't received theirs and haven't heard from me i encourage you to not be shy and nudge me about it, either here on discord: GorbArt is my username!

heya! so i've decided that, in order to try to justify a higher tier (probably $10), i would offer, among other things, an invite to my discord! which sounds very big-headed of me but the thought is that it would give people the opportunity to join in on streams and watch the drawing of their monthly doodle and even to give feedback (within reason)!

as well as this, this added tier would include some light shading on their doodle! i am trying to think of other things to offer but that's a relatively fair start, i feel like!

so yeah! i'm gonna introduce a $10 tier and for those who want that, i will send an invite to the discord server! anyone who just wants to stay in $5 is welcome to - they will receive their monthly doodle regardless! i'm finding some peeps are not always giving me their prompts so i'd like to encourage everyone to where possible cuz i can't promise i will be able to get to a long backlog of them! probably only a month or two

so i really like the arrangement whereby i do doodles every month! it's really good practice for me and it's a nice option for those who can't afford to pay for a full comm. but, with each one taking occasionally up for 30 mins, sometimes an hour, i worry about the sustainability of it!

i think most of the time the quality of them is not far off full lines and i kinda worry sometimes that i might be screwing myself over, undercharging for pics that, on their own, aren't worth a whole lot of money for me but which, en masse, do represent an attractive little boost of cash at the start of each month. could i justify charging a couple bucks more? or maybe separate them into tiers, wherein a certain sub amount gets you multiple characters, more complex things etc.?

the real solution is to just be quicker and to worry less if they don't look as clean as they could. i just find it very difficult to skimp on the quality even for these little things! cuz it still feels like i'm in a v privileged position to have people wanna gimme money for art

so i'm not sure! for now, i'm gonna continue em as they are but i do wonder if i'm underselling my stuff. i'm certainly not hurting for commissions or anything - i have too many, in fact - but a good few days of drawing is committed to doin the doodles and i wonder if anyone has any thoughts about a system that's more rewarding for all of us!

also I have several pics that are due to be early access on here this month! I know I’ve not had one of those for patrons recently but there are a few coming!

Yo! First off: happy new year to you all!

secondly, with December being the month of covid and then followed by my typically very busy christmas, I’m a day or two behind on comms! I’ve done most of them but am playing catch up on the last few! Will post what I have either tonight or tomorrow and am workin on the remaining ones!
