For those who worried (there may always be a few every time) this isn't going to be a small chapter. The 40k threshold will likely be treated as...err...an amusing beginner's bar to beat?

Given the good pace of progression today, I can safely affirm everyone will be given the immense honour of a 'this is not a teaser' before Sunday is out.

Update - An Impractical Guide to Godhood

As promised, an update on the adventures of your favourite son of Poseidon and Tyrant-in-chief of the Suicide Squad.

I will emphasize: this is NOT the complete chapter. I still have a few days (my optimistic take is Sunday) before finishing it.

So this is nearly 10,000 words and 24 pages of the advantures of a doomed expedition in the Sea of Monsters (where you don't want to spend a holiday, believe me).

Westeros and roads after the War of the Lions

As it is said, a map of Westeros for the Dance is not Over, as the War of the Lions is over (or the Red Usurper's rebellion, if you are a Lannister) and Queen Baela Targaryen has prepared a comprehensive plan to build roads which are absolutely not reliant on magic, oh no.

Purple lines are the roads which were completed; pink-red lines are the roads which are planned and/or in construction as the end of 138 AC draws near.

Dear readers,

Let's begin with the bad news: between two stories, it was the Dance is not Over, as I'm sure it was hinted by the title, who won the 'who's next?' roll of the dice (not that a proud writer such as I am will roll something as plebeian as a dice, of course!)

Despite the extremely warm conditions, let me assure you my determination has never been stronger...as long as we're speaking in conditions of about 40 degrees celsius while in the shadow and staying all day near the marvelous invention that is a ventilator.

Nevertheless, writing must continue. I'm busy, as I'm doing a lot of background preparations for the Weaver Option 11-4, which is going to be a...hellishly complicated chapter, especially in terms of timing and scene escalation.

The Death of Innocence unbetaed

Here is the new (and unbetaed) chapter 97 of The odds were never in my favour, titled The Death of Innocence.

I could blame the summer warm weather to explain why it's late, and it's certainly true in several aspects, but there's also the fact it is a rather big chapter...at least by The odds standard (I'm well aware the WO standard length is in a league of its own).

And yes, it is 18,800 words-long, so...good reading, I guess?

My dear readers, I have good news and bad news.

Let's begin with the bad news first.

Tzeentch's curse must be more potent than I thought for the chapter of Extinction 11-3 is small, far smaller than it had been in a small time: think about it: a mere 38,000 words! Merely 103 pages (word format)!

The schedule I announced last week hasn't survived for long, I'm afraid.

Now for the bad news: I have been delayed in my writing quest, and the long procedure to fuel my imagination-writing power won't be completed until Wednesday-Thursday.

Other bad news, is that, after much reflexion, I have decided not to spend two days sending e-mails to everyone with the product of previous assassinations by giant rats.
