Announcement 29/10/2023

Here we go.

As multiple readers know quite clearly for having experienced it themselves, in the last couple of months, fanfiction.net has really began to experience some major difficulties (in no particular order: no more alerts, no more traffic stats, no pore PM alerts or way to contact your betas if you don't have back up options).

Needless to say, it doesn't amuse me, but since I have never received an answer from the website's owner, well. Anger isn't exactly productive.

A while ago, I had a long discussion with Ask Tegler, and after giving him plenty of detailed explanations, he graciously accepted to make some art about Alexandra.

For some reason (most likely I was busy writing a TWO chapter) I really forgot about mentioning it at the time here, and then I forgot completely about it.

Since I re-checked my files this week, I thought it would be a nice end-of-the-month update.

It will coincide with an announcement soon.

Masked Ball - betaed

I'm going to re-read it once more, but unless I find more mistakes, this should be indeed the final version of chapter 111 of The odds were enver in my favour, Masked Ball.

I will publish it in a few hours on ff.net. 

I will also create a collection 'The odds were never in my favour' in a few minutes, that way everyone will have an easier time to find the adventures of Alexandra as they are updated.

Writing schedule for the next days 21/10/2023

After a brief moment of hesitation, I decided I decently couldn't leave the Suicide Squad where I had left them.

Thus I have decided that for the next 7-10 days, beginning today, my writing efforts will go to complete one more chapter of an Impractical Guide to Godhood.

Is it going to be a chapter filled with sanity and rationality? Of course not.

Is Perseus going to begin with a crazy plan and everything going to go downhill from there? Yep.

Will there be devastation ...

Okay, as promised, the not-teasers are over. The writing of a story which shall-not-be-named is over too.

I am shifting to The odds were never in my favour tomorrow, I have several interesting ideas I want to test upon...

Anyway. The not-chapter has been sent to the betas, who have been told, in front of Commissars and Lords Inquisitor, to send it back before the end of October. We will see how well they will obey this holy command.

I have written 44,000 words or so for this...

This will be the last of the not-teasers, for the record. The next post which will be updated will totally not be the complete chapter.

Here comes the first not-teaser of the month!

Writing on the not-chapter is progressing well, for those who wonder.

I think the final lenght of the totally epic work will be in the 40K-45K range.

The not-teaser of the day, on the other hand, has 'only' 13,000 words.

But you have many important things like Bacta, furries, unforgivables, and a certain Belisarius.

It is that time of escalation...again.

I have finished the full correction of 12-3, I think, and proof of the importance of event, the hellishly hot weather suddenly vanished, we got a thunderstorm and  a lot of rain.

And now for the announcement.

The writing of The odds were never in my favour is officially over for this month.

Concerning TWO, my beta Thanathos has told me that the corrected chapter should be delivered between tomorrow and the 27.

Since I intend to begin the writing of TWO 12-4 on Tuesday-Wednesday, tomorrow would be ideal (but not highly likely.)

If I have not received 12-3 (betaed) by Tuesday, the writing of 12-4 will begin anyway. I've a good idea what I want th...

Yes, the title is...very ironic this time.

Because Westeros (and Essos too, I guess) can be called a lot of things these days, but peaceful they certainly are not...it's an era of tensions and barely avoided wars (when the conflicts are avoided, that is).
