Quick Critique: Steamworld Dig 2

Steamworld Dig 1 was a neat game with a pretty unique take the exploration genre. It combined the exploration and upgrading of the usual fare with some platforming challenges and paid off with short bursts of the kind of happiness you get from clicker games. Heist didn't interest me, so I was happy to see Image & Form revisit the Dig world.

Dig 2 is a lot of tweaking and updating what Dig 1 started but some of the changes are great, some don't really create meaningful differences...

Greetings! One of the benefits of being a patron at $4 per month or more is that you get to vote on what the theme for the next illustrated Mercynaries story will be. 

Voting for this round will be open until October 15th and then I'll get to work on the story! Don't worry if a theme you liked didn't get selected; I'll put the old themes back into the voting pool down the line so they can come up again.

Fan Art: Ross's Librarian

A bit of fan art to close out the month with another fan edit by Ross. This time, he presents us with the Barbarian Librarian! Not only is that fun to look at, but it's super fun to say. It rhymes and everything. The Sins wouldn't have messed up her island if she was decked out with big slashy weapons. That's sadly led to the loss of so many books over the years. Arm your librarians today and send some thanks to Ross!

We had a lot of requests for a follow-up picture to the 12-year anniversary one, and the Sins have a fine tradition of caving to peer pressure. Envy knows the score and isn't going to let anybody shame it for dressing up. Fight for your right to be comfy!

Exciting news for the Sins Fun Club Patreon. TWO changes: more Mercs and a new tier!

Sinic Mehniacs

Quick Question For Newer Patrons

Hi gang, possibly dumb question for our patrons. If you signed up in month X, you can still see the content from earlier months, right? For example, if you signed up in September, can you still access August/July/June/etc, etc's Mercs comics?

I've been working on the assumption that new people could read the old Mercs comics but it just dawned on me that I don't know if that's true. I think it is, but I wanted to be safe and make sure. Thanks!

Mercs What If... Role Swap

This week's Merc's What If bonus art has a bit of a twist and applies the What If to the team itself! If Ruth had made the sacrifice instead of Mercy... Well, I think Mercy is better mentally equipped to handle these kinds of things, so Ruth is going to need as much help as she can get. Then again, maybe it's just Mercy making jokes about Ruth needing support that's more painful. This is one What If we can be thankful didn't happen.

September 2017 Mercynaries

It's Mercs time! And Google tells me that September is a peak wedding month, so this was totally planned. Yep! So this month, we have part 1 of the tale of a good friend and the way the marriage cosmos decides to mess with that.

August 2017 on Sins

 Summer is nearing to a close, school is approaching, time has lost all meaning, and life is drifting aimlessly on the seas of a year in its final third. Or just August is over so it's time to check back in with a wrap-up of everything that went on this site for the month. Fancy dresses proved to be more fun than existential dread.
