Hello, Patreon members! It's getting close to the time where I need to start writing the next Mercs illustrated story, so I thought I'd come to you to see what kind of theme you'd want to see next. Caveat: I'll eventually do all of them as either stories or regular Mercs chapters, so don't worry that if you vote for one you won't see the others.

As with all people named Pip, our hero is a loser. In this game's world, your resolution is your caste and Pip is at the bottom of that ladder. September Mercynaries

This month, the Mercs are breaking into fairy tales and flipping scripts all over the place. Too long have we had innocent princesses! We need to shine some light on their true horror.... It's probably because she doesn't wear a poofy dress; that's how you can identify the bad ones.

After my initial disappointment that Curses N Chaos has nothing in common with Ghosts N Goblins OR the C&C Music Factory, I came to applaud that Curses N Chaos has some darn good style. It has fantastic music, some good humor in its mini story segments, and while the sprites are really simple, they have a ton of style and flair with great animations. Wilder West

I was working on another game for the site and while I liked the world, I just couldn't get into the game itself. I kept thinking about other projects while working on this and that's usually my sign to re-focus my efforts elsewhere. I like Wilder and his world of dinosaurs and what would have eventually featured robotic sea life, alien tech, and maybe some alien ghosts, so I think I'll come back to this world some day.

August Mercynaries

This month, the Mercs try to go something about the heroine epidemic affecting this poor city! They clean up the streets and ask the big questions about goons, sharks, and why heroes don't wear pants in the middle of winter.

Huge thanks to the Slapegg community for getting us to that $100 goal! I'll hopefully have some progress from the commissioned artist to post along the way. It should be a cool one!

The strongest feelings I had for Ittle Dew were in how it auto-saves. The game freezes when you change rooms so it can save. Most games have the decency to let you keep playing while it saves in the background, but this one locks everything in place like its about to crash every time it saves.
