What are a few hostages between fightin' friends? I'm pretty sure they still count as hostages even if they seem into it. Kids just love demons and are easy kidnapping targets. That's why it's not adultnapping.

So to answer Bruxley's question about how much training she got: None whatsoever! Will heard about a job that could offer her a chance to fake redemption and experience freedom in a way she could get the Valkyrie to buy into! Which is really all most of us look for in a job. 

And, of course, the secret origin of why Willow doesn't actually know the Mercs' names. Which is totally their fault.

Our next request was by DarkZamiel to see the Mercs get in a bit of community debt after destroying some local arts on a mission. They make fine stand-ins that will drive up attendance numbers and confuse any visiting school field trips!

I think this one probably straddles Patreon's "implied nudity is still nudity" rule, so marking this one as Patron-only to be safe.

Did nobody think that maybe baby Clem just doesn't taste good and that's why she was rejected by the Grand Maw? Or she's just a stinky baby?!

But we've seen the inciting element that led to Willow becoming their best friend and the ultimate babysitter! Or at least what allowed Willow to peek into the Mercs' job duties and see how some humans have free roaming among the Divine while she doesn't.
