Treasure: Seals of the Seven Lost Houses

This is a collection of relics from one tragic week when seven noble families met their end.

These were created for Treasure Tuesday, the day each week that I create a free, nonmagical treasure item for roleplaying games.

This one was inspired by a comment in my Discord server.

Glass Tongue

I was just a guest on the Dungons & Talkshows stream, hosted by the Nerd Militia. During the stream, I asked for two words, one from each host, and was given tongue and glass.

This magical prosthetic/replacement turns your tongue into what looks like glass, and you can turn it into a sharp weapon.

Greetings, everyone, and welcome to the first day of the Year of the Dragon.

Treasure: Albert's Hat

This hat was once worn and used by Albert the Magician, an old man who entertained children with his magic tricks. He would end each performance by "magically" pulling candy from this hat.

This is the 34th creation I've made for Treasure Tuesday, the day each week that I create a free, nonmagical treasure item for DMs/GMs to drop into their games.

There is most definitely a reference to something I saw during my childhood with this one.

Treasure: The Grimhallow Ruby

This treasure is a fabulous red ruby the size of an ostrich egg. It's been stolen and recovered multiple times over the last 500 years, so there's definitely some history to it.

Monster: Drakaka

This titanic crustacean can spend years concealed by the ground. It tends to ignore smaller creatures unless provoked.

This was created at the request of a patron of the D&D arts.

Treasure: Hroznifel's Tooth

It took seven adventuring groups working together to slay the black dragon Hroznifel, and the lone survivor brought back one of the dragon's distinctive teeth as a trophy.

I may have had teeth on my mind today since I just got back from the dentist.

Sometimes, just having your feet be extra comfortable just makes you feel better.

This divine amulet turns into your holy symbol and instills your body with holy power.

Treasure: Dori Gawl's Silver Slippers

This week's Treasure Tuesday creation is a pair of fancy slippers that are comfortable enough to wear while walking along even a brick road.

There may be a pop culture reference in there somewhere.

Sunflower Snickerdoodle Pan (a sort of cursed item)

This cheerful magical baking dish can produce a single, tasty cookie in 10 minutes.

It is an item that, while not technically cursed, can bestow a curse of stubborn frugaliity on the those who are stingy.

I gathered a set of 3 individual words from 3 different people on Twitter to use as inspiration for this homebrew. I was given the words snickerdoodle, parsimonious, and sunflower.

Treasure: The Tenacious Paladin's Helm

This old bucket helm is all that was left behind when a particularly tenacious knight disappeared from the fortress he'd spent decades defending.

There's a possibility that mixing fervent dedication to one's cause and long-term exposure to the ingredients in certain paints might not be a great thing.

This magical blanket sooths burning problems and brings comfort to those wrapped in it.

Wear this single black glove to sneak dangerous things into places they don't belong.

Treasure: Jalnorn's Silver Sickle

This old, worn sickle was once used by Jalnorn, a druid that made potions, sold them, and used the money to create a nature preserve that encircles an entire small city.

This tricky magical coin always returns to you if you lose it.

This was given to the bard PC in my current D&D campaign a long time ago. It still gets used frequently, even though she's now an 11th level character that isn't hurting for money.

Treasure: The Golden Bones of Marbela Stonehammer

This set of heavy bones seem to be made from solid gold, and are all that remains of a dragon-slaying dwarf warrior from a century ago.

Those who know gold may realize that the bones aren't quite as heavy as they should be, and if the PCs figure this out, the DM can reveal that these bones are expertly carved from marble and covered with a thin layer of gold (thicker than gold leaf, but there's about 5 pounds of gold, total).

For Treasure Tuesday #28, we have a decorative ceramic vase, made by an artist who only sold her stuff for one year before disappearing from public view. That was 50 years ago, so her pieces are now rare finds.

Spell: Snowscape (a holiday creation)

I'm dreaming, of a white Christmas...

...but it ain't gonna happen for me this year. It's supposed to be in the low 50s (F) all day here in western Wisconsin.

Today's Xmas creation (happy holidays, all!), made while I wait for cinnamon roll dough to rise, is a bit of wishful thinking on my part. It turns a very large area into difficult terrain by immediately covering everything in deep snow.

Treasure: Smiling Glass

This odd piece of glass has been passed mother to daughter for several generations. It's only in the right lighting conditions that it's revealed to be something created by someone with a real talent for glasswork.

This is the 27th creation for what I call Treasure Tuesday, when I make a free, unique, nonmagical treasure item for GMs to add to their game.

Corrupt Snowman

Winter can bring snow, and snow can mean making a snowman.

This particular snowman has been corrupted by evil magic. There may be a small, frosty reference here.

This is based on a rudimentary "evil snowman" 3D model I made years ago for Neverwinter Nights.

You can use this for any cold-weather space, and it will work great in those xmas/winter holiday adventures your players get into.

Treasure: The Treasure Hunters (a holiday creation)

Holiday time around my house means baking and cooking sweet treats, and I thought I'd bring that into this painting that not only shows some tasty treats, but is also passed around as a gift year after year for new people to enjoy.

Moondark Weapon

This magical weapon type glows, getting brighter as the moon (or the brightest moon in a world with multiple) gets less bright. When it doesn't glow at all, it's a warning to watch out for werewolves and other lycanthropes.

A subtle reminder: I make D&D stuff and there's always more on the way.

In the spirit winter holiday decorating, this week's treasure is a fancy glass ornament that could be put on a tree or anything else that needs decorating. It's very fragile though, so don't let the kids or cats near it.
