Treasure: Trevor's Trill Bird

This little brass bird once made music. It was a gift to a little boy from his grandmother.

Made for Treasure Tuesday #91, but created and posted a day late because I was out of town on Tuesday.

Spell: Lucky Break

Lucky clover on my mind for some reason today, on this day of many things green.

This spell gives the target a little bit of luck, but the target doesn't get to choose when the luck helps them.

Diadem of the Third Eye

This magic head jewelry helps you pick up on things you might not otherwise detect, be it emotions or the intent of others, the magical nature of things around your, or even the presence of the otherworldly.

Treasure: Brok's Jade Helm

Kept and worn as a trophy by an adventurer named Brok, this spiffy helm was probably quite a conversation starter.

The inspiration for this one? I'm literally in the middle of dying my hair green, waiting another 15 minutes or so before I rinse out the dye. :)

This is the 90th creation I've made for Treasure Tuesday, the day each week I make a free, unique, nonmagical treasure for DMs to drop into their games as loot or perhaps sidequest hooks.

Plot Hook: A Grave Shortage

Sometimes necromancers digging up bones aren't necessarily a bad thing.

This is one of those creations that was inspired by a trio of randomly selected words (productive, cemetery, and shortage).

Treasure: Conrad's Coin

This simple copper coin was carried for years by a man named Conrad. Some people (maybe even Conrad himself) thought it brought good luck.

It was inspired by the "1st dollar" many businesses save and hang on their walls.

This was created for the 89th Treasure Tuesday, the day each week I make a free, unique, nonmagical treasure for DMs to drop into their games.

Monster: Friendish Jumping Spider

Awwwww...it's so cute!

It's a big, furry, cuddly spider. it just happens to bite those it's cuddling with.

Treasure: Golden Spider Scepter

This shiny scepter has a golden spider in a web at the top of it.

I was brainstorming ideas for future spider monster/NPC work, so I had spiders on my mind while thinking up this week's treasure.

This is the 88th weekly Treasure Tuesday creation.

Spider Wheels

These magical parts for a wheelchair allow the chair to roll up walls and beneath ceilings as easily as it moves across a floor.

Yes, it's basically slippers of spider climbing, but for wheelchair users.

Treasure: The Silver Orb of Kamaraka

This mysterious orb of silver appeared mysteriously after the mysterious death of a nobleman. Since that time, it's somehow ended up changing hands every five or fewer years.

This was made for Treasure Tuesday #87.

Crutch of Foe Hindering

Inspired by a response to a post I made on Bluesky, this magic item helps a person get around during adventures, with the added bonus of slowing down their foes.

Edit: Updated title and dropped a line from the description after a sensitivity reader's look at it.

1 week left: First Monthly Theme of 2025 (a poll)

Greetings, one and all.

Each year, I pick two months out of the year, pick a theme for each of those months, and make daily content during those months based on the themes. I've been doing this since February 2020.

Now it's time to pick the first theme for 2025, and I'd like to get your input.

Please vote for one of the following options. Poll closes March 15.

Thanks!

Conquering Light

This magic sword, which can get rid of irritating darkness, has been sitting on my ideas list since a brainstorming session on December 17, 2019 (for some reason I put the date when I did that session).

Bard College: College of Fire and Brimstone

This bardic subclass was inspired by a person looking for a fire-themed bard that doesn't involve dancing.

Because bards are big into the use of speaking or performing, I went with the idea of the charismatic preacher damning people to hell for their sins.

Rather than just being a spellcaster with a bunch of fire spells (you might as well play a sorcerer if that's the goal), I went with features of fire, intimidation, shaming, and sending creatures to the D&D versions of Hell....

Treasure: Pastor Gorlan's Book of the Damned

I was inspired to start work on a new homebrew a few minutes ago, and the idea for that inspired the creation of this "treasure."

This was made for the 86th Treasure Tuesday.

Treasure: Kasani Dragon's Blood Sumi

I recently watched a video on the creation of a high quality calligraphy ink called sumi. Quite interesting.

That video inspired the creation of today's treasure, a very rare red version with a recipe lost to time.

The Isles of Kasan are a region in my homebrew setting with historical inspiration drawn from Japan, China, and other east Asian cultures. It's where the original martial arts monks originated in my world.
