Treasure: Silver Wolf of Nadia Whiteleaf

A day late (I was distracted by stuff yesterday and didn't really get computer time), but here's this week's unique, nonmagical treasure item.

This nice little treasure is for Treasure Tuesday #69.

NPC: Katavri Hada (a holiday creation)

With Halloween coming up, I thought I'd write up this scarily beautiful vampire.

PCs in one of my campaigns met this vampire nymph, but this version is stronger and more deadly than the one they encountered.

Her name combines words in other languages that roughly translate as "dead body" and "fairy."

Treasure: Life in the Blue Bowl Collection

This collection of taxidermied sea life was paid for by an old gnome who loved the creatures that lived in a tropical lagoon...and he ended up hating it because it ruined what he loved about those creatures.

The gnome's son treasured the collection though, so it was kept with the family.

Monster: Swarm of Vampire Guppies

These tiny little fish aren't undead, but they definitely drink blood.

Updated 2024-10-30: Fixed creature type (now properly listed as a swarm of tiny beasts).

Treasure: The Titan's Hand

This taxidermied hand has served as a memorial to the defeat of a mad titan. It's large but relatively light in weight.

This was made for the 67th Treasure Tuesday.

Firefoot Boots

These red boots certainly have a style of their own...and a peculiar smell.

Firewalking in them is no problem.

Treasure: Medal of Bravery

Made for Treasure Tuesday #66, this medal was given to the family of a cook at the royal palace, for facing down a bunch of hired killers and saving the lives the king and others.

Crimson Obsidian (mineral)

This fantasy mineral was inspired by a video I just watched, where workers turn large pieces of red slag glass into decorative spheres.

Wand of Grasping Plants

Use nature to hold your foes in place by tapping into the magic of this wand.

Treasure: Resting Bronze Hawk

Once a decoration on the desk of a thieves' guild leader, this bronze statue has a hidden compartment inside it.

Wand of Small Leaps

Turn that prince into a frog with this magic wand.

Treasure: Gold Kintsugi Urn

This glazed urn was once broken, but was later repaired. The repairs are made highly visible by the inclusion of gold in the cracks.

This was inspired by the real life practice of making the breaking of something a part of its history.

This is also a funeral urn, holding ashes that are likely the remains of someone.

Utensil of Deliciousness

No matter how ordinary a food might be, this magical eating utensil will make that food taste delicious.

The PCs in my weekly D&D game stole several of these from a mansion (home to one of the PCs' grandparents), taking them to use in their own house. The PCs knew the were magic, but didn't know what that magic did until just this week (months had passed both in and out of game since the theft).

Treasure: Carinia's Tears

These tears, sealed in a crystal vial, are said to be those of a celestial being.

This is the 62nd Treasure Tuesday creation.

Monster: Zimwilag

Inspired by the slayer of many online adventurers, this lag monster distorts the flow of time around itself, draining speed from other creatures while speeding itself up.

Update: An explanation of the slowed condtion (used by the zimwilag's Aura of Theft feature) is now included in the PDF.

Quicklead Potion

This magic potion actually affects both the drinker and another creature. It slows down that other creature while speeding up the drinker.

Spoon of Stirring

If you cook, you know how boring and tiring it can sometimes be to constantly stir whatever it is your making. You don't want your gravy or pudding to be lumpy, you don't want your jam to burn on the bottom of the pan before its heated through, and you want to make sure everything cooks evenly in your giant pot of chili con carne.

This magical spoon takes some of that work away by moving on its own. It even changes size so you always have the right spoon for the job.
