Back to work

I am going through the final tests. I can't say when it's done but it should be soon.

Why the long absence? Among other thing, my dog died and it hit me hard. Saying goodbye was difficult. As a result, I needed some time off to process and cope with the loss. I sincerely appreciate your understanding, patience, and support throughout this challenging period.

Working on Harper Defeat

As requested in the poll, I am working on Harpers defeat.

Other scenes are completed at this point, adding to the story going forward.

In addition, I removed the XP gain in battles, leaving prestige and dominance as the only resources for obtaining more abilities going forward. This should ease the gameplay and allow more focus on the story itself.

Work continues

Kasia's next event is all done. A step on exploring her feline nature in the game turns wild.
The library for week 2 is in the works, most of it rendered.

I am adding more random inhabitants to the game. Above is one of them, you can encounter her during a hunt.
I am also adding a feast for as a reward for going on hunts. The girls are letting loose after a the feast.

I've been working on 3 things for the next version:
- A new scene for Kassia, exploring her neko character more in game.
- Refining the capture system, adding more situations and starting Harpers capture
- Redesigning the guild screen so it's more appealing.

1.5.5 Release

I am releasing 1.5.5 with the following content:
- fixed corruption and affection not saving correctly.
- changed requirements for events in week 2 to make them available through gameplay
- Rework of Fasa week 1 sport event
- lots of other bug fixes

I am also making this release publicly available because the previous public release would make any decisions in week2 unobtainable without being in the full control tier. It does contain a few enhancements I was planning for 0.1...

Next Capture Girl

I'd like to know which girl should be getting the next capture arc in version 1.7.
Currently it's only Kassia and Elfie with a single event. Those will be expanded as well.

Setting up new scenes

Now that the obvious bugs are all fixes, I've been working on new scenes for the next release.
Part of that is redoing Fasa's sport event, switching it from placeholder tennis to self-defense techniques. This fits her dominant character, growing up in a wealthy home better.
As such there will be a more exciting event in week 1 and a follow up in week 2.

1.5.0 Release

I am releasing 1.5.0 (skipping 1.4.0 due to rewrite) with the following content:
- Evening events after logging out
- Additional tavern event with real life consequences
- Rework of some school clubs
- some other minor events

This release also includes a complete rework of the event system. Unfortunately, that means save games from previous versions won't load.

Next version in testing

The rewrite of the event system is finally complete. Since everything is an event, it took forever to get it right.

The current version is in testing. Some bugs were found, which I am addressing right now. Planning to release towards the end of the week.

About half way done with the refactoring of the quest system. So far testing proves it's much more stable than the old one.

So, testing brought to light that the current quest system has issues.

If I set a certain flags wrong, the whole saves are corrupted.

I am currently working on replacing the current code with a more futureproof system, but I have to go through every single quest so far to fix this.

Hence, the update will take some extra time.

As much as I want to release, there's still work to do:

- Introduction to Harpers sidejob, I'm not happy with the dialog at the moment and am still working on that.
- Library scenes are not complete. Pondering whether to include them now or later.
- Take another look at the battle system. Going to try to make it more engaging.

The new Yoga scenes are in, explaining Kassias upbringing in more detail.

Valentines day progress

A lot of work got done for the next version.
New features include a new event during herb harvesting, which will lead to a much larger story arc. The tavern is finally open, so you can visit Kassia there.

In addition to many bug fixes, I also added a way to speed up battles. I am currently looking at changing some of the base abilities since the feedback is, it's boring.

Bug Fix

Someone noticed that saving during certain events, such as talking to the girls in the house, would create a broken save.

I uploaded the fix for that for the patreon version. For the public version: Don't save when talking to the girls. I messed up the git for that version, so I can't really fix it without a lot of extra work.
