Every time I make presets I learn something new. It's never a simple process unless I really hit a stride. Sometimes a pack will take me an hour, sometimes it'll take me 2 days. This one was definitely challenging, but I think watching the process of me problem solve could be hugely important.

Serum Presets Week 67 | Big Boi Leads (best pack ever i think)

Honestly I've always classified "Synths" as any synth sound that is reliant on an envelope, so like stabs, wubs, swells, etc. Even if those sounds could be used as leads, I classify them as synths. The only time I really classify "Leads" is when the sound is sustained, not used as a bass or stab, not used as a pluck, etc. It has to be a legato sound.

That said, I hadn't really made much in the "Lead" department. I don't use legato leads much, I use a lot of stabs. That probably came fro...

Had to text Brodie Killem and ask him what type of sounds he wants for this next pack. Was a little rusty on the creative side but he pointed me in the direction of some big dark bass sounds, so my brain got a nice kickstart. Hope you enjoy <3

Hyppeddd on these. I obviously use a lot of loops like this to compliment my grooves, all ones that I created in the past. Stoked to have a new large batch to choose from. The fills were honestly an accident. As I was assembling some of these loops, my arpeggiators and Logic Drummer kept giving me some really spicy sequences to isolate, so I made sure to do that and throw them in the pack. Hope you dig, presets coming this week <3
