I don't write only Transgender fiction. Here's a cover preview of my thriller Birdsong, which should be coming out before summer from CabalhoPress.

“Don’t trust anyone, not even yourself.” — Birdsong’s Rules
Chapter 1
"You want me to kill him for you?" Birdsong asked the naked woman in his bed.
Connie turned her head to look him in the eye. "You offering? To kill him?"
He shrugged, a pec...

I climb into the car with Mom. It’s her lunch hour and she’s picking me up early from the lumberyard and taking me back to work with her.
This whole week has been horrific!
When I went into work at the lumberyard on Tuesday—after my week two check-in debacle—I was of course the target of complete ridicule by the guys. That was bad enough, but the homophobic secti...

I've decided to offer annual memberships which will require collecting before the month. No one who has already signed up will see any change in how things work. I'll allow a few days for discussion and to explain things, but this really makes sense going forward. - Hugs to all, Erin

Movie first, then dinner was the plan, as it always had been whenever I’d joined Sandy and Butch for a night out, and just because we had an extra body in tow didn’t mean that was likely to change. We made our way toward our regular movie place, discussing what to watch on the way.
Sandy wanted to see the new political drama that was out about some ex-senator who’d gotten framed for a scandal and lost her office before making a big comeback. Still, Butch and I poo-pooed t...

Getting my ears pierced didn't hurt as much as I expected. And the little pearl studs did look nice peeking out of my hair. Maybe I spent just a bit too long admiring them.
"Samantha!" Mom called to me from further down the mall corridor. "There are other mirrors in the mall you have to look into."
I made a noise like a squeak, embarrassed because the jewelry kiosk lady was grinning at me, then I hurried to catch-up with my parental unit. I was grateful I had worn sneakers, instea...

I wake up right before my alarm goes off. My nerves are completely frazzled!
The past week was awful at the lumberyard. The guys there gave me total shit! A couple of them even scared me—I think they think I suddenly turned gay, or something. And they’re totalhomophobes! So, I’ve been doing my best to avoid them.
Like that really works. I d...

Sandy gave me a quick look-over and grinned. “Well, look at you!”
I gave her a little spin and a mini curtsey. “You like then?”
She nodded. “I figured you’d be getting ready here, I had an outfit all planned for you too. But this is better.”
“Thanks! Mom decided since I’m doing the Donna-thing again she wanted some mother-daughter time so we went shopping last night, that’s why I couldn’t come over for homework.”
“I know, Mom told me ...

Chapter Nine
I open the door and nearly drop on the floor!
“Happy Late Birthday, Sis,” Bob exclaims. He gives me a big hug and says, “Surprise!”
I look at my brother and exclaim, “Bob! What are you doing here?”
I pull him inside and give him another huge hug and a sisterly kiss on the cheek. He blushes, not at all used to his ‘brother’ doing that.
He missed my actual birthday—not that there was really much to miss with all the thi...

I groan as the alarm goes off. That’s getting to be a morning staple—groaning at the alarm!

I caught so much shit from Dad last night before we went out to eat—at least until Mom ...

I stopped at the door to my room and took in the changes. No, they hadn’t had time to repaint it but my walls had always been a neutral shade of off-white. But they had removed some of my posters and added several carved and painted, woven bamboo screens, flat pieces of colorful art that made the room look completely different.
One of the larger screens showed a red-haired princess, complete with gown and tiara, in an open carriage being pulled by a unicorn. In the background, a castl...

“So we’re still on for Saturday, right?” Sandy asked me anxiously as we made our way across the cafeteria toward our usual table.
“UGH! I already said yes, why would I back out now?”
It was Wednesday, and still a week and a half from Prom. I’d already started on the fitting and repair work on our dresses, we had our shoes and hosiery and everything else. We had already chosen our jewelry, even.
That wasn’t enough prep, though, apparently. No, they want...

I look at Frankie and sigh.
We’ve just spent a few minutes talking about last week’s events. The medical building also sustained some damage based on the fact that TG individuals are treated here—and Frankie makes no secret about her past. Even though, it wasn’t to the level of the bakery, there was damage. Mostly a few smashed windows and spray-painted messages. Being more on the outskirts of town seems to have saved it from the larger crowds of vandals.
When we’ve caug...

“No.”
“Nope.”
“Hell no.”
“If you wanted to wear a sack, there are free ones at the grocery store.”
“I really hope you weren’t serious with that one.”
Sandy walked out of the changing booth and threw the last dress she’d tried on at my head. “One more snide comment, and you’re walking home.”
I laughed, knowing there was no chance of that. “Well, if you’d stop grabbing dresses that looked terrible on you, I ...

Chapter Seven
“So, you fainted. That’s certainly understandable, Hon,” Vicky announces.
We’re under the gazebo on her roof and she’s smoking while I vape. She had made it clear that this won’t be a regular part of our sessions—that I need to get my nerves under control, so that I can control the ‘need’ for the nicotine.
While she has made it clear it is a coping mechanism that I really don’t need, I have come to rely on it. She’s right, t...

We left about ten-thirty, me wearing Rory’s baseball shirt just draped across my shoulders this time. “Some great guys,” he remarked. “Dweebs but a lot of fun in their own context. I see why you like playing those games.”
I giggled at that. The dweeb remark didn’t even sting because I’m not a dweeb now. I’m a gamer grrl, and we’re rare like unicorns. I giggled again when Rory helped me into the passenger seat.
“I’m not even tickling you,” Rory said, kissing...

I groan as Mom wakes me up at six to get ready for work—at the stupid lumberyard. She's going to drive me and drop me off on her way to work. I turn over in bed and pull the covers over my head. She just pulls them all off the bed, leaving me completely coverless.
She's all bright and cheery as she exclaims, "OK, Sam—enough procrastinating! Up and at 'em! You can shower after your day at the lumberyard since ...

{CAUTION: This episode may be upsetting to some sensitive readers. I'll summarize it at the beginning of next episode, so it can be skipped.}
Dolly got me up without undoing my arms and led me to Moose’s en suite bathroom. She made me sit down to relieve myself after pulling my panties down.
“You may need to shit, too,” she noted. “But just hold that thought, I’m going to give you an enema.”
“What? W-why?”

When Sandy returned with a simple denim purse for me – with my wallet inside – we headed out to Aunt Julia’s car, Sandy and I climbing in the back like we always did so we could talk.
At least, that’s what we would normally do. This time, though, my thoughts were a bit preoccupied, and after a couple of aborted attempts to start a conversation, Sandy simply squeezed my hand and sat back to listen to the radio. Aunt Julia had tuned in to one of the jazz stations she like...

I sit nervously in the registration office. I have all of my paperwork and the letters from my doctors. Bob also got things going on my name change on Monday, so I can report that, too.
After sitting there for about ten minutes, a diminutive white-haired man in his sixties or seventies comes out of his office and reaches out his hand. He says, “Hello. I’m Dr. Jones. Ms. Richards is tied up, so how can I help you? Do you have questions about registering?”
I take a deep breath...

We run a routine between half-innings in the fourth, bringing out little kids to race around the bases. The littlest kids start on third, and big ones start on first or second, depending on how much handicap I think the little guys need. It's silly fun and over quick so we can get out of the players' way. You never know what kids are going to do, so it's never the same.
Afterward, Jen and I usually take a break, ten minutes or so, off-stage as we call it. In the break room, I can take o...

I was thinking of poor Doc Spectrum, who wasn’t really dead, just turned into a mermaid by the underwater despot called Damian and inducted into his Lemurian harem. But Angel didn’t know that, so in character I could grieve. But then Hoot came back from the bathroom, still zipping up his pants. “Did I miss anything?” he asked.

I feel terrible as I climb into my Uber. I have an hour to get to my two o’clock appointment with Dr. Greenwell. It’s Friday, and Kim doesn’t work today, so that leaves Mel alone for the last couple of hours.
Sure, the last hour is usually really slow, but it’s just one o’clock, and it was still pretty busy when I came out. Mel had just complained that she can’t drive me and told me that she’s used to being alone all day on Fridays—that she’s just happy to have me.

Patreon now offers annual memberships where the cost of an entire year would be charged all at once. Since this would also change BC Patreon membership to a pre-pay model instead of a post-pay one, I've let this opportunity wait until I was sure that Patreon had found any kinks in the new structure and straightened them out.
This really wouldn't affect anyone who is already a member unless they chose to sign up annually or they want to increase or decrease their pledge.
