Trading Cards (Arma and Lamia)

I made some trading cards for my Kickstarter I never posted. Here's a screenshot with the two different front designs and the back design that is the same for both cards. These are exclusive to Kickstarter backers but I might make them available here as well if there are any left over. Slowed Down A Little

Just wanted to let everyone know that things have slowed down a little since sending the paperback books to print. They did arrive, now we are waiting for the hardcover versions. In the meantime, my kid started school again but the new schedule has been difficult on both of us. I'm now waking up a lot earlier, but she's struggling and I am finding it hard to go to sleep at an earlier time. I haven't adjusted yet so I've just been really tired all month.

I'm running a little behind because I moved into my office/studio space FINALLY! Once I get everything set up I will do a mini tour video. We put in hardwood floors and my body is aching from carrying over 1000 manga books from one room to another, back and forth.

Title page! I don't have any making-of steps for this one because I only made slight edits to an artwork from years ago.

The book is finished! The book is ready for print! It took me SO LONG to prep these files. I ran into a few issues with the size of the book (because I switched printers I had to use a slightly taller book size than what I'd originally formatted my files to) and then I found out I had miscounted early on in the process and I needed to add a few more pages to meet the standard I had set for the Kickstarter. Bonus Comic Preview

This is going to all members! I'm dropping an unfinished sample of the bonus comic that is going in the book. Unfortunately, I am about two weeks behind schedule at this point. My daughter's summer camp (lots of driving back and forth) and a convention put me behind.

Lamia Undressing (mostly SFW)

This is an illustration I did for the new graphic novel featuring Lamia slipping out of her guardian uniform. Freckles Illustration for Vol. 1

I was asked to do the cover of a magazine in Oklahoma that is essentially apart of a charity that's used to help those who have struggled with in the past or presently with homelessness. Bookmark Designs

I've been busy! Got lots of stuff for everyone this month.

I did some bookmark designs, and I thought I'd show them off below. This is available to all members, free and paid. The bookmarks were rewards for backers on my Kickstarter and will be available to buy for everyone else later this summer.

Bookmarks will be 2 x 6 inches and have a little tassel at the tippy top.

FaLLEN Vol. 1 Cover Design 2

This is the second cover design I did for Kickstarter backers to vote on. This cover features Arma, Lamia, and the first aeon, Mater Gaia.

The other cover didn't take me as long, but this one was a lot more work obviously. I had trouble with Gaia mostly, and I ended up drawing more and more of her as I adjusted the positions of the characters.

The cover mock-up required me making some changes to the art, like moving characters around and resizing them.

This is the full chapter 5! It was a much shorter chapter than others but I thought it was a good way to end the first volume.

Two more pages to post after this! And then I'll be focusing on material for the book (cover art, a bonus comic, etc) and sending things to printers. I will probably have Chapter 6 started before the end of the month, though.

I like this page, I like that in this version this is one of the last pages of the book because it shows a little moment between Lamia and Arma. Maybe Arma was trying to start over, but Lamia just couldn't let that happen.

Just letting everyone know the Kickstarter for book 1 of the FaLLEN full-color reboot is ending soon! This page was a little tricky to reformat for the full-color Western treatment, which is why the top three panels are a little awkward.

YIKES. This took a while and I'm not overly fond of it, but I have to keep going. I might adjust some of the blocking in the bottom left corner later but for now I am keeping it as is.

Lots has happened since I started my Kickstarter. The tariffs have not been kind, to be sure. Since I launched it, prices have changed even for locally produced items and I'm definitely not going to be able to print as many books as I originally planned. Don't get me started on shipping costs...
