Book Club Bonus Chapters #3 - Cover

A little bonus "page" for this issue of BCBC, and the real reason I moved up the posting of the final page of BC12. I decided I wanted to do a cover for this one since it ended up getting titled as a proper issue and didn't end up being a mini-comic. I wanted to go ahead and get this one posted as I am returning to this comic, but I wanted to go ahead and get the final page of BC12 up first.

And... in other news... pages 5&6 of BCBC 3 going up on Friday and Sunday of this week, but ...

The final page! It took a while to get this one done. It was the longest chapter yet and there were a few unfortunate delays in the process with me getting ill. But it's finally done and I have to say I have a huge sense of accomplishment after posting this page.

A bit of an early page drop to wrap things up here. I thought since the page was ready to go and I had no other pages scheduled for today, I'd go ahead and post this final page for you all a day earlier than normal.

I thought I'd add a little extra intensity, having Dre pull on Olivia's garter straps. I don't think I have used this before in the comic and I'm not sure why. I thought he's probably be going at it so hard that they would pop free of the stockings.

All the prep work was done and now it's time for Olivia to let loose. And after seeing her reaction, Dre really gives it to her.

The payoff is finally here. On this page I wanted to make sure that Dre continued being far more considerate of Olivia's comfort levels than her past partners had been. Giving her most of the control to determine how much she wanted to take and the pace of it.

The Book Club: Chapter 12 - Page 44 (Pencils and Inks)

This was a page that had fewer panels in the script. I ended up adding in a couple of extra panels as I was sketching and doing the layout. I knew ahead of time that I wanted to do the large impact panel being Olivia looking at Dre's dick and doubting her choice a bit. But as I started sketching the panels around it, I noticed I had a nice grid situation, with some space for more shots of the action. So what was originally a 7 or 8 panel page in the script turned into a 10 panel page.

My goal for this page was to show Olivia was really getting into everything that Dre was doing, and was getting overwhelmed with passion.

I wanted to make sure this experience was a big contrast from the previous anal experiences that Olivia has had, particularly those shown in Issue 10 that showed why Olivia has had an adamant stance against trying it again. So I wanted to make sure Dre was doing all he could to give her the best experience possible.

What's next?

So, of course, my whole plan and schedule was thrown into disarray last month, but I think the plan moving forward will be to just try to focus on getting BC 12 finished, and then as it wraps up, switch over and wrap up the Meiling comic as well before starting in on anything new.

Dre's previous appearance on Halloween was a precursor to this scene. It's been a bit since he showed up, but I imagine Olivia has a good memory for guys who know how to treat her right.

And I hope Lupe's "Yeah, yeah, I've been through this shit 100 times before" attitude came across in the second panel.

For this page, I wanted to show a little snapshot of how each of the various ladies enjoy (or don't necessarily enjoy in Olivia's case) the holidays with their families. Just a bit of grounding for the story. A calm in the storm of all that naughtiness.

Also, this was a heckuva page to try to tackle when returning from an extended (forced) break from drawing. Up there with the most characters I've ever had to tag on a single post!

After much consideration and deliberating, I have decided to kill off Randi.

It was a difficult decision.

But I think it's for the best.

With all the time away from drawing that I have had lately due to illness, I decided I should probably do some warm-up sketches to try to get back into the rhythm a bit. These were done with just a pencil and a piece of paper. It felt like a better way to warm up than digital sketching.
